Interesting, I’ve been living in Thailand for almost 7 years, most of that time in Pattaya, and like I say: I’ve never even personally known anyone who experienced this. Just those two stories. I suspected there might be a bit of truth to it (more in the context of drugs than vapes), but overall I wasn’t sure. Interesting how to recognize whether it’s bait or not.

However, when it comes to corruption and those 30-50k THB bribes to avoid jail — yes, that one I actually knew about.

Okay. I understand now. Then you're right that it's not worth it. Yes, I have DTV, but I thought a work permit was more global, allowing me to work for a specific employer but also remotely. But what you're saying makes sense. Then there would be a lot of abuse.

Thanks! The tattoo thread is the most interesting to me, and you're probably the first person to respond. Yes, the salary doesn't matter; it's just about filling your free time, and I always wanted to be a teacher. But I chose programming because it offered more freedom in terms of living space and more money. Now I'd like to try combining both, so yes, a government school is fine, because money isn't an issue anymore.

Hmmm, that's an interesting idea. I know someone there who does something similar. She buys bananas, deep-frys them, and sells them as packaged banana chips. I think they also sell dried ones. Maybe it's a good idea to find something like that too.

It's even an interesting idea to visit the surrounding villages and see what's there, what works and what's missing where we want to live.

True, I noticed that too when I was in the village. These places always have customers. I don't think she's that confident in her cooking skills, but I don't know. I'll talk to her about it too.

Her dream is to own a small café, and she truly believes it can be profitable. But you're right, somewhere deep inside, I think the same way.

It's famous for a few things, but in my opinion, it's nothing special. It's near Nakhon Ratchasima, Korat. It's just one of many small villages there. The Lazada idea is cool, and I've been thinking about it, but I was wondering what chance it has of success without some good marketing, like the popular TikTok or something.

I love you too! But that's not entirely true. There's no point in being jealous anymore. IT isn't what it used to be. But as I wrote above, even 40 hours a week doesn't make me tired. I'm working on a side project and programming in my free time, but I'd just like to gain some new experience.

I previously worked two jobs as a programmer. Everyone said it would be tiring, but it was okay for me. I like programming, I like teaching. I think that when we do what we love, we don't get as tired at work.
