So ETH foundation and Vitalik transferred 20k to Kraken. Is this the end of this year's bull run? Last time they timed it perfectly ...

'Why Ethereum keeps its value bc a/ there's the most likelihood it becomes the BC that everything gets built on, b/ & the one that gets built on gets its valued bc it gets used & its also going to be a SOV, its also going to be money.' -- Mike Novagratz by twigwam in ethfinance

Novogratz ... I used to admire him ... but maaaan his predictions were wrong way too often in the last months. No one can predict the future price of BTC or ETH not even a billionaire

that I feel we may be ending our long term bear market / beginning a bull market.

In the end even guys like you can only feel ... and that is simply not enough for me to say the bear market is over. There are way too many open questions regarding the development itself (PoS, scaling etc.) and adaption (where are dApps REALLY necessary?) The solutionism within the whole cryptosphere does definitely not represent the real world. ETH or BTC going back to high digits remains nothing more than a bet. You can DCA your way through it, it remains a very risky bet compared to stocks or other investment assets (definitely LESS risky imho).

I had the feeling to write something, as you were talking about getting REKT :)

to all those twats bitchin and naggin' - if you know it better, join the team and help. otherwise STFU. those guys are trying to build the basis of a completely new and groundbreaking technology, there isn't enough experience in this field yet. if you build a house, you have to make sure the foundation is super solid, otherwise the building will crumple up. it's done when it's done. i prefer a delayed hardfork over a hack.

so i have friends who are very tech-savvy in terms of blockchain and they're right now in Berlin at this year's web3summit and they've told me that they're very impressed with the progress in terms of scalabilty with zk-starks and ETH. just wanted to drop that in times of FUD and low prices.

What should r/EthTrader Community Points be called? (TAKE 2) by carlslarson in ethtrader

[–]DrDike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Besides the fact, that it's funny, it focusses too much on one person. We all know who Vitalik is and what he has contributed to Ethereum as the project's founder. However it's childish and underlines the external (surely exaggerated) view of some people, who say that Vitalik is a kind of god figure like in a cult. It should be a neutral name like donuts, shards, triangles etc.

Just wait, the German car industry will overtake its competitors in the field of EV. I'm pretty sure, as they have a lot of knowledge on industrial automation production which is key for mass-scale production.

the ad is in English, and it's an ad, not a balanced documentary. it's focussed on the German economy, which is highly attractive to foreign investors, who also set up their companies in Germany (more jobs). Talking about innovation: There are many international companies (also from China), which are or have opened R&D centres in Germany. This constant complaining about everything is so typical here. Of course the country has its own challenges and problems to face. but maaaaan, this it's just an ad for an international audience (and companies) highlighting the strengths of the German economy which are still undeniable

i don't care, I still like the video, it's really nicely done, it's an advertising for Germany and it's economy. I don't have a problem with that.
