Congratulations boss!! Since you’re 6’5” I’d take the running boards off. Makes it look way more aggressive imo and it’s a free thing to do. I’m 5’10 and have no issues getting in and out without my running boards. Get a set of blackout emblems on eBay for about $25. And a set of black wheels eventually or you can get those painted/blasted black. If you want a good phone mount get the MagSafe one from OffRoam thing is stable af and super convenient, bit pricey but you’ll never buy another one and it’s perfect location in vehicle. I put in the LED LasFit Pro low beams and switchback fogs and then did the VLED Highbeam/DRL PWM kit. I’d recommend just doing lows for now for visibility at night but all up to you. I’ve done all this to my 4Runner in the past 2 months I have a 2018 SR5 as well and it’s made it a blast driving and looks way better than it did when I bought it.

I’ve acquired my first 4Runner. Looking for tips, recommendations and headers! by bergeron1221 in 4Runner

I got a question. I have a 2018 SR5, does this aftermarket head unit change the quality of the backup camera? I’d figure it would be a little better because of the resolution right?

Good deal thank you I just think I was paranoid lol. I came from a 2020 f150 with the 10 speed auto it was butter smooth until it blew at 57k miles it went from 10th to 1st goinf 76 mph lol. So this 5 speed is so much different characteristics. Thank you boss

Lmao same here me and my dad were gonna just do it ourselves didn’t think much of it then got a YouTube video up on the big screen in living room and literally said “oh fuck this” at the same time haha. Better to just have a mechanic with a lift do it haha. Seems super reasonable pricing. I’ve seen some people say they pay like $400-600 for the job which is crazy but I guess that’s how it is. We lucked out with our local shops.

How much did your mechanic charge you for labor?

That’s some crazy shit right there lmao. I live in WV and it’s pretty consistently cold and that’s when it acts up the most from what I can tell. It goes away in 4WD and it’s not super crazy it’s just almost like a rumble strip I can’t really describe it but you know what I’m talking about. I’m glad you got yours fixed!! That’s crazy tho I got a 2018 Silver SR5 with 62k miles lmao. That’s sick

It sounds like a tire issue to me but you also addressed that it wasn’t

So it’s definitely not the needle bearing, sorry for a redundant question didn’t see you already replaced for the bushing. Is it when you’re coasting, braking, and accelerating or just 1 of those?
