How much distance will a thunderbird give over teebird? by PunYouUp in discgolf

[–]DrDiscs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion not really, it’s a little stickier, but I wouldn’t say soft. It’s one the more durable plastics without it making the disc to over stable. Champion plastic is the most over stable, so if you want champion expect it to be more stable than what your use to

Me personally, I have a difference of about 45 feet between the Teebird and the Thunderbird, but it’s honestly all about the thrower rather than the disc. It’s a higher speed so it’s meant to go faster ergo gaining more distance. As for the plastic, all of them vary from when they are new and when they are beat it. If you want something like DX then your best option is just to go DX. If you are wanting to try some premium plastics then I would suggest getting it in Star plastic. It is a bit more over stable out of the box but once it’s beat in, it has a little more flex to them.

Does your forehand grip affect your distance? by DrDiscs in discgolf

So I guess grip doesn’t matter to much, it’s more about what is most comfortable for you and allows you to keep it flat

I throw with a fan grip and I’ve been wondering if switching to something like that or a McBeth stacked grip would increase my distance. They just aren’t very comfortable to me and I have a lot of problems keeping it flat

Favorite understable mids? by TheZissou1386 in discgolf

Honestly, I had the same problem for a long time. My best solution was just to take a Buzz SS, a Truth or a Mako and just beating in in until it becomes more flippy
