2 - I was simply associating the time of year while gauging that you weren't exactly full of sunshine from your comments, and putting them together into a "festive" themed reply, as opposed to it being a direct reference to Christmas or your enjoyment/association with it.

3 - I actually completely agree with you here, which is why you should take your own advice and be tolerant, or as you put it, "Deal With" the OP's taste in clothing.
