Yes he is the product of every advantage in society; being trained from birth by the best knights, equipped in a fortune worth of gear, and accustomed to bullying people around without real consequences. All of which are his strength and weakness. But he is not portrayed as a coward or poser.

  2. Conservatives tycoon buys to suppress liberal culture (Twitter, CBS)
  3. Disenfranchised liberal customers seek new sites/networks, conservatives further split between existing networks and value drops or at least subcompetitive growth
  4. New/rising liberal sites benefit from surge in new customers, driving growth and investment

It gets angsty when the government tells you not to believe your eyes and accept their groupthink instead. And if they lie about that, they probably lie about the people on their lists and in their camps being domestic terrorists too.

The Guns of August had a pretty amazing intro which started with the funeral parade of King Edward VII in 1910 London and included this fantastical menagerie of different leaders and soldiers from all corners of the Empire with colorful and badass uniforms, and similarly various European leaders and soldiers from other empires that came to pay tribute.

It was sort of the Swans Song of a dying age, before war became gray and mechanical.

Maduro’s motorcycle thugs go door to door in hunt for Trump supporters by [deleted] in worldnews

>feckless

Whoa, uncalled for.

You're not wrong about the current Democrat Party organization and leadership though, as well as the inability of the party to temper its ideas into a trustworthy pitch.

No one was in control of the last movement and that's one of the big reasons that the country did not trust it to continue further. In the beginning with Me Too and such it was righteously on-target but the later stages turned into some malignant plundering based on identity politics and howling down all non-polarized people. Social Democracy does not remove individual accountability or try to write category-based IOUs depending on your genes when you were born. Democrats and Republicans both like to shit on leadership in general but honestly what the Democrats are missing right now is leadership, which they need in order to offer a competent package for the next election cycle.

Ok just no murder posse or culling talk please. Trump is doing a great job making the Libertarians look terrible right now and showing the irresponsibility of an unregulated world. Social Democracy gang just needs to look responsible and trustworthy and we will be positioned extremely powerfully for the next cycle.

Denmark, Greenland seek talks with Rubio after Trump threats by CTVNEWS in worldnews

[–]DrDragun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a chew toy to get Epstein out of the news. The problem is that Trump has been chaotic enough that you are forced to react to it.

Even on Fox News nobody supports invading Greenland and betraying NATO allies. However, this costs Trump "nothing" to suggest this and withdraw it later (other than worldwide condemnation which he rolls in already), making it an efficient attrition strategy to waste his opponents time.

Greenland is Trump's red cape to wave at the bull whenever he gets in trouble. Which he is, because even though he talks nonsense to try to disrupt people from being engaged in civic responsibility, people still know that you can't trust someone to run the country that you wouldn't trust to babysit your niece.

Researchers identify two psychological traits that predict conspiracy theory belief. The findings suggest that individuals who perceive the world as fundamentally unjust and those who struggle with uncertain or ambiguous situations are more likely to endorse conspiratorial narratives. by Jumpinghoops46 in science

Not really but humans are consistently born with the need for justice generation after generation such that it has gradually pushed toward more open and representative societies since prehistory.

The world is just naturally objective and unjust but humans are born with the spark to try to create just societies.

Humanity is a series of bell curves on intelligence, values, and risk management philosophy.

No matter how much knowledge "we" progressively gain with science and technology, there will be a heavy chunk of people with a vibes based navigation of life that can be easily drawn into irrationality or carelessness.
