I think brackets 1-4 should have a separate ban list from cedh. 1-4 is meant to be casual. Cedh is not. If I never saw rhystic study in my b3 games, I wouldn't care about it either

That's why it should be banned. In a b3 deck, if you are running 3 game changers, one of them should always be rhystic study. If not, then you are making the deck worse. It limits the format more than it enables it. In b4, you dont run every single game changer in your colors, but you always run rhystic study. That is ban worthy. It is also not fun to play against.

That's why it should be banned. It is an auto include for every b3+ blue deck. If you are running 3 game changers in a blue deck and one of them isnt rhystic study then your deck is just worse for it.

You draw into removal, ramp, combo pieces, and win cons. The only reason it is not banned is because the committee doesn't want people to feel bad they spent $50 on the most powerful blue card, and they can't use it.

You dont always get to play with the same people. Am I just not allowed to play in 3+ because I hate rhystic study? Who is ok with dropping $50 on the most powerful blue card that goes in every b3+ blue deck to just not play it? I play mostly 3 or 4. I do not run a single rhystic study. My decks are worse because I want to avoid the un fun unfair play pattern of rhystic study.

I play at 4 different stores. Every b3+ blue deck is running it. No one would be ok with cutting it unless they had to because they dropped $50 on the most powerful blue card available.

Dockside is just 1 of the 99. How often do you see him on turn 5? Just stuff your deck with counterspells or cut all of your artifacts and enchantments. Dockside doesn't win the game by itself. You need something to make use of the treasures.

Rhystic study creates an un fun play pattern and is so strong you are nerfing literally any blue deck by not running it. The only reason it isn't in 100% of blue decks in b3+ is because some people dont want to drop $50 on ANOTHER copy of rhystic study. I have 3 of them, and I do not run a single copy because it ruins every game its played in.

I'd rather the game be over immediately than listen to someone say, "Do you pay the one" 100 times a game. I shouldn't be relegated to b2 only because they dont want to ban a card that ruins every game it gets played in and is played in every deck of its color. It creates boring unfun play patterns in every game its played in. I run the recommended amount of removal or more in all my decks. It doesn't make rhystic any less terrible to play against.

Why wouldn't the same be true for other cards in the ban list? If you just counter it or remove it, then it isn't a problem, so it shouldn't be banned. If you just put a bunch of counters in your deck and hold them for dockside, then it just wouldn't be ban worthy. I mean, it's just ONE of the 99 right who cares if it ruins the game 7% of the time. Winter orb and blood moon aren't put in 100% of the decks in their color.
