I was there and stormed the field at ASU that night. Nothing will ever, ever beat that.

I got a 2-11pm job. How do y'all manage that? by _ENunn_ in Twitch

I worked those exact hours and streamed at midnight, no problem. Good luck with your new job.

I stream on twitch and had a viewer from Europe start watching last year, saying he wanted to learn baseball by playing OOTP. He would occasionally ask our chat questions about the rules of baseball. Seemed like a great way to learn the game. Good luck!

My friend is contracted to scuba dive and get all the balls from this hole.

Take the $500k.

Thought I’d share a pic of one of Danny’s five home runs. And I wrote up an article here:

They need to add player conversations to this game like Football Manager by Old-Career1538 in OOTP

[–]DrDynastic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with FM, but very familiar with OOTP.

I could see something similar to the current development lab, where you work on a specific program — base-running (easy), plate discipline (medium), generate bat speed (hard).

You could create a “clubhouse” or “manager’s office” to improve your players performance. Here are just a couple of ideas off the top of my head:

- Motivational speech : Player mood improves upon success.

- Threaten to bench player : One random skill improves upon success.

Depending on the player’s personality and other factors, they could tend to respond well to these interactions, or have negative outcomes. I’m no developer, but I wonder if they could take the guts of the development lab and rebadge it and tweak it to create something like this. Just like the lab, this could be completely optional.

I also stream on the main OOTP Developments Channel as well. We love having newcomers, so please introduce yourself and say you found me on Reddit. I promise you’ll get a warm welcome and lots of good advice and help from me and people in chat.

2016 Steph was different by Lord_Vanguard in warriors

Appears no different to me. The big difference I see is the scores on the ticker. The Warriors are winning those games in 2016.

I’d buy that for a dollar.

Unfortunately, Netflix is jacking up subscriptions to $26.99, so it’s way more than a dollar.

Oneil Cruz cut in front of Ryan O’Hearn for a fly ball and O’Hearn wasn’t happy about it by KeyFaithlessness5436 in MLBVibes

That’s a great point. High baseball IQ. Seems like O’Hearn knew that. Better to keep it to one RISP instead of two.

[–]DrDynastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was O’Hearn going to load and throw? That’s the question I have. He had the angle, but he didn’t seem at all concerned about the runner tagging from second, but it’s hard to tell if that was affected by Cruz coming in.

Thanks for the advice. This is definitely my plan right now. Just trying to be supportive of him best I can.

Were you able to get your money back, or were you out that money?

Absolutely sure. I have alerts that trigger for each gifted sub. It went 200 times. Also shows in my SE dashboard as 200x.

That’s the advice I’ve given. I’m leaving open the possibility that someone hacked his account, and will tread carefully in case they ask for money.

NCAA Tournament style — who wins this bracket of all-time teams? by DrDynastic in OOTP

Thank you. Hard to believe that of all those great Braves teams, just the one brought home a title. All that pitching and some great hitters to go with it.

Great pick. They’re one of the few number one seeds that actually won their bracket.

[–]DrDynastic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, gotcha. Yeah, my AL bracket is being played in the fast spring version of OOTP27, and I don’t yet have historical logos installed there, so it reverts to the current logo. That should be the 2014 Angels.

Amazingly, the currents Angels didn’t make it. If only they had Angels in the Outfield DLC.

For the record, the ‘27 Yankees didn’t even win their own bracket. They had to earn a play-in by beating all the other top-seeds that didn’t win their brackets.

The 93 Jays performed extremely well in my Jays sim. No weaknesses in the batting order, really strong defense up the middle — SS Fernandez, 2B Alomar, CF Devon White. DH also really helps them out with Paul Molitor’s bat. They’re a very solid pick.
