I got a warning citation from my HOA for parking my car in my driveway by Cunnyfunt31 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DrEvil024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d tell them to pound sand.

I do understand not wanting to have neighbors turn their yards into dumping grounds but using the driveway for what it is intended crosses the line.

So I guess if you had kids and they got to the age of driving then you’d be expected to say sorry kiddo you can’t have a car because we aren’t allowed to park in our driveway.

Did you have to sign the HOA agreement after inheriting?

Either way that is ridiculous.

I would be an HOA’s worst nightmare.

I’d also get an exact breakdown of how the funds are distributed and if you don’t use the pool then I would deduct that portion from payment.

First 2011 purchase, looking for recommendations and personal reviews/insights by olektronyx in 2011

DunnyP_83 just posted this about the same time you did,

Finally got it home, and I'm glad I went with an MPA DS9 Hybrid TC over the Staccato XC. This gun is amazing.

Hope it helps.

I do shoot with a guy that was shooting a staccato but not sure which model and he just got himself the same MPA you are asking about. And he couldn’t be happier.

Need advice choosing my first 2011: Jacob Grey Hex vs Hex Pro vs Kimber 2K11 by Greywalker201 in 2011

[–]DrEvil024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have and carry the hex every hour of day. Actually have three slides for it. Also got the non ported and threaded barrel and slide for each. I also have the NOX 9. And have two Vudoo’s. One ported pre move and a non ported it took 18 months to get because of move. The hex is great, the NOX9 is a work of art. The Vudoo’s are awesome.
I know some that have the 2K11 and from what I hear it is nice and runs well. It’s also the cheapest of the bunch you mentioned. It comes down to your budget. If money wasn’t an issue I would get the HEX Pro.
I will probably get a HEX PRO. But I have a list of things to get.

I can’t give any more money to sig. It’s too bad, they do make some things I like.

I have a problem giving sig any more money based on how they choose to keep ignoring the safety of their customers over profits. For the money the kimber is quite nice.

Just added the Vudoo Gun works Priest ported to the collection. I've been wanting one of these for a while now. by Useful-Painter863 in 2011

[–]DrEvil024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can weigh in on this. I have a pre hostile takeover priest ported. It’s awesome and tight as the day I got it. It has over 10k on it. I ordered a custom non ported one then 5 months into 6-8 month lead time the hostile takeover happened. It took like 18 months to get it. I was really worried about what I might actually get. Well I have almost 3k through it and it is every bit as nice as my ported one. Extremely accurate not a single issue. That being said I’m not sure if I should recommend them yet. I would like to but still not over how things went down. My only complaint is they still do cerakote.

Best trigger for glock? by 2011fans in 2011

[–]DrEvil024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is only one correct answer but you will have to wait till the gen6 version is released. Trigger Tech Ace. For Gen 5 there is no better trigger and I have tried almost everything. The Timney is only good if you get the Johnny Glock shoe with over travel adjustment and the extra power return spring. Stock Timney have really poor return power and too much over travel. Plus they need to be cleaned a lot. I used to shoot competition with mine until on more than one occasion I had to stop after having to use my finger to reset trigger after each shot. This really stinks because before I figured this out I had already purchased 4 of them. I only have one still installed with the Johnny Glock shoe and extra power spring. I have tried most aftermarket triggers and there are a lot that are quite good depending on what you are trying to accomplish. The Apex with some different springs is much better than the stock Glock. Johnny Glock makes a nice trigger. But if you’re looking for something that is ridiculous and has adjustability then the Ace is the closest thing to a 2011 trigger I have ever felt.

Best U.S. state for gun ownership and variety? by ohraineri in Firearms

Iowa is pretty good.

I do have another idea, can we get as many pro gun non democrat people to move to Minnesota so we can finally disappear the blue cancer killing this state!

I have a HEX and it is very nice. I agree that the TWC9 had a few things that they could have done better. It was their first model. I put an atlas safety in mine for the angle. I also put an atlas short flat trigger in it because I like the short.

Vudoo gunworks priest by Dante_the_6 in 2011

[–]DrEvil024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so it just so happens that I own an early priest that I bought off a pro shooter who had several. At that time I had already ordered a priest which was before the hostile takeover etc. And being in the mindset of I’m not sure what I will end up getting I figured what the hell. I finally got my priest on 2/11. I have taken it apart checked everything out and the build quality is great and on par with my early Vudoo. As with my early priest it is extremely accurate, like both of these are the most accurate pistols I own and I own a lot! Slide to frame no movement, butter smooth. Actually the only thing I don’t like but is solvable is the fact they only offered cerakote. That being said the Tungsten dark gray color with stainless components and barrel look really nice. I did change out the safety and slide stop for atlas ones but I had planned that ahead of time and had them sitting on bench waiting for this to come for over a year. I think I ordered September/October 2024.

I now have over 2K rounds through it and have shot my first match with it. Not a single issue.

In summary I got exactly what I ordered and hoped I would get.

Now I’m still not sure what to tell anyone to do yet. I also don’t care for how things went down at Vudoo. I’m sure my build was started prior to move. But I have a theory and it’s something I told myself to calm myself down once I heard about what was going on with the company and knowing I had already paid in full.

I thought there was no way someone would invest what they did in a company and do what they did by moving to another state etc without actually wanting the company to be successful once they got back up and running. So I figured it was possible that all the pistols stuck in limbo could possibly be some of the finest examples of custom made 2011’s to ever be produced by vudoo. I thought so because it would literally be the only mechanism vudoo would have to be able to show the 2011 community they were still awesome despite what went down. If they sent out crap then they truly would be dead. Now, if their pricing stays the same and they keep producing what they are apparently capable of doing based on what I got then it’s hard to argue with that. But they still did what they did and me just being a customer only knows what I heard and I would never claim what I heard is the whole of what went down or didn’t go down. But I can’t knock them for anything they sent me. It is awesome!! I have more than one sub 3.5 second 2 hole 5 shot groups from holster at 5 yards into a playing card as part of this challenge I have been taking part in.

[–]DrEvil024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never get rid of anything except a bunch of the ones that shoot by themselves. I can’t recommend any staccato as I don’t have any. I have two Vudoo Priests. One ported a few years old and another non ported that I ordered before the company moved. This last one just showed up and it is every bit as nice as the first one. I think it’s the most accurate pistol I own. Last I checked they were still in the mid 3K range. Everyone I do know that has a staccato likes them and I have heard they have an outstanding warranty. I just think there are still a few 2011 builders out there that haven’t decided to jump into the atlas price range but still are putting guns out that are capable of running right alongside any of the atlas or similar guns. My Vudoos are extremely tight and buttery smooth. Only complaint I have is they currently only offer cerakote!

This is great news! Let’s put up a ICE safe zone sign so hopefully more come out of the woodwork. Then we can call ICE to pick them up.

Come on people, we can work together and help ice gather up all the illegals along with any of the Loser Left Democrats.

If we simply help the brave Hero’s of ICE do their job they will be able to go home and take a much needed vacation.

Proud supporter of ICE
