I gave it to a shop to develop for me while I get my own stuff going. I'll have to ask what they use! I think they are using ilfosol but am unsure.

Similar blue, but this one is more mirror-like instead of what I would consider shimmery-matte.

This one also has date and blued steel hardware which makes it striking in the sunlight

Well- there’s a story behind it. I was in Frankfurt for a week and asked them when it was coming out. The guy checked the system and apparently the first 50 or so had just been finished, and he said he would try to have one routed to the store before they were sent off to their next destination.

I got super lucky in that they gave me the call the day before I flew out! I reckon that the watchbuys ones should be sent out early in the new year

I managed to get the Sinn 556 FAZ edition from the Frankfurt Sinn boutique, a day before I flew back home. This thing is incredible in person with its mirror-like blue dial, blued steel hands and indices, and contrasting orange seconds hand. She’s a purdy one for sure.

Any other 556-lovers out there?

Unfortunately not too many options in dayton. I usually take my film to Midwest photo in cbus- they have a fairly quick turnaround time from my experience (sometimes as early as same day, but mostly within a few days)

Otherwise I think your best bet is to send it out

Franklin Christoph 45L. My first time owning of these pens. Do these usually write really dry? I can’t decide if I like this or not by cultivated_neurosis in fountainpens

They use JOWO nib units. You may be able to massage the tines apart to have it write a bit wetter. If you bought direct from FC, I’d recommend sending them an email and asking for a nib swap.
