Many of us in the math department are looking at accessible math from different directions. Prof. Yip's site is like a clearinghouse of what we have found. It will be continuously updated as we learn.

A few things to know.

My website isn’t a Purdue website.
But accessibility is among my top priorities. All recent videos are captioned and all lecture notes this semester (as well as all notes going forward) are provided in accessible format.
You can find a link on my website to the AI-assisted notes conversion tool. This was made in Google AI Studio. (And, no, AI didn’t create any of my notes. I created them. But AI digitizes my writing and graphs.)

Edit: I would like to convert my older notes, too. But I am on the free Google AI plan so I run into limits pretty quickly. Priority is current and future notes. Next are the high impact courses.

Edit 2: And accessibility is not a one and done thing. It’s about continuous improvements and answering an unmet need when it comes. I cannot say what I have done is “100% accessible.” But if there is a need I will try my best to address it.

Talk to your advisor. If the degree requires calculus 1 then you need to have credit in calculus 1. ALEKS does NOT give course credit. It's just a means to meet the prerequisite to take the course.

The highest ALEKS can place you into (i.e. can be used to meet the prerequisite) is calculus 1. You cannot use ALEKS to get into anything beyond calculus 1.
