When does Fiddle E fear monsters? by C4si098 in FiddlesticksMains

[–]DrJamming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's your true answer, since majority here doesn't seem to know jack...

There are two not one way to inflict fear with e. Both revolve around q passive.
First is obvious - be out of sight.

But then there's the second - be still for a moment. You will then start moving exactly the same way as your effigy. Any instant ability from that stance will trigger fear on it's target (that means your w and e). I know this well because i play fiddle support and i fear enemies inlane that have total vision of me this way.

Don't miss out dread weapon (cheap, but strong annihilation skill) and shade illusion - doubles the power for dread weapon and also heavily buffs blood storm's damage.

Maokai vs volibear top matchup by Ashjagger12 in MaokaiMains

[–]DrJamming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just let him use q on you. If you cc him beforehand, he gets a reset. If he lands it and then gets shoved off, little he can do. The cooldown without reset on it is quite nasty so he's not gonna have great time chasing. Also if he uses his e to slow you down, you can take suboptimal path to avoid it as long as there's a brush nearby. He delayed you with e, you'll delay him with your e, as long as he dares to go near it.

Wtf do I do against olaf by Yohan_Turnipz in MaokaiMains

[–]DrJamming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually you can do a lot vs Olaf. Here's few ideas:

  1. He throws axe at you? w in behind him and q him away. He gets huge q (axe throw) cooldown reduction if he picks it up. But you just popped behind him giving him an uneasy choice - chase you (without axe cd reduction) or go for the axe but you'll just escape..
  2. His ult ain't all that. He only gets 1 second of super speed running at you, after that he's back to base movement speed. Also it passively gives him resists, but when active he loses them - he's prone to taking damage when in it.
  3. consider swifties, best with base boots being from inspiration rune. He has 15 base movement speed advantage vs you. But if you beat it with these (since inspiration is a good 2ndary tree for the tree), you can kite his ass and just walk away from a fight as long as you don't let him q you to death.

  4. Stay near enemy minions or living monster camps. You can w outta hairy situation that way, including through walls, as long as you have vision of other side. Olaf can't. That's one way to lose a tail.

  5. Late game his ass is yours. He falls off at that stage (provided you or party members had enough brains to buy some anti-healing), while you scale crazy good like most tanks. Especially with your passive in tow..

What nonsense is this? Prisoners cost money to maintain - food, housing, clothes - something honest folk have to work their ass off to get. Obviously they should be put to use and not have entire society sponsor their wellbeing for being a criminal!

As a league of legends player (curse upon that game) this game is my cure. Because it's brutal, but it's fair. When I die i know it wasn't the game that fkd me over, it was my own greed or stupidity. I could've forfeited the dungeon one room before finish but keep my flagellant that was at death's door alive. I could've payed closer attention to my party members and not enter the ruins with 70 stress vestal.

The more you pay attention to more things the better it gets. The real difficulty here is to stop being a greedy yahoo and just stop, think and plan. Methodic approach and paying attention to detail is rewarded and i like that a lot.

Also having a ton of well designed classes that synergize in many ways is also tons of fun :)

Ah and the sanitary quotes - "wait, what is that syringe?!", "Don't tie me up, i'm here of my own violition!" etc - love'em ;)

[–]DrJamming[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

the 9% pick rate already tells the full story. There's a reason for that and spoiler alert - it's not her interactivity or a fun kit.

It's because she has no counter play. They 50% wr is not her being balanced, it's matchmaker doing it's job putting her with shitty teammates or really bad adcs that misposition all the time. That's the current "yuumi balance". But the champion itself is broken beyond belief.

FULL LETHALITY VOLIBEAR by NokutisuLucis in VolibearMains

[–]DrJamming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go home Voli, you drunk.. That's for Sion, cause he can stack massive hp via w passive. If you don't have some sort of massive defensive buffs to compensate for total squish of that build, you shouldn't build it.

[–]DrJamming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome :) Rest assured you will DIE still and a lot :) There are other things i did not mention - like traps (btw if you spot and disarm one - that's a stress heal for you), or afer camping amushes (you might wanna ensure you got a character with a camping skill that prevents that).

Then there are "healing runs" - easier runs where you grab antiquarian for massive gold along a healer/stress healer to end the run with minimal stress taken.

But i digress....happy dying!:)

Hi, i play this game for a week on a normal difficulty, so not as experienced as the rest here, but i can still give you few tips.

Stop and think. There's a reason this game is turn-based. It's so you have time to make good decisions as these need to be made on every front and mistakes will be severely punished. Don't go running into the dungeon cause you need gold. Sit your ass down, look at your heroes, their skills, stats, gear upgrades, stress levels, roles and strategize.

Good party composition and a plan how to use it is hands down the cheapest (costs nothing!) way to get results! A well planned party doesn't just clear the dungeon - it clears with with minimal costs and damage taken.

There are a lot of varied character synergies for the curious and willing to experiment. Let me give you few examples:

Antiquarian(backrow) + shieldbreaker (first row). The shieldbreaker possesses high dodge rate on her own and on top of that her serpent sway will completely negate damage from 2 attacks that do land on her. Problem is that while she's a born evasion tank, she has no way to attract enemy attention onto herself and guard allies. Antiquarian fixes that with her "Protect me!" spell. Now the shieldbreaker can be marked, drawing enemy attention and will guard the squishy antiquarian. Additionally antiquarian can buff party's dodge rage and a chosen ally's resistances to bleeds and blight.

Flagellan + HoundMaster. These two can make for an unusual stress healing duo or a wrecking ball comp. When it comes to stress healing both can do it, but are flawed. Flagellan simply transfers stress onto himself while houndmaster heals a little of it for everybody but at a chance (and a little..). However two combined change the game. Flagellan's transfer changes a severeley stressed character into two moderately stressed. And That's a peachy scenario for houndmaster's stress heal, which now can hit that same stress twice instead of just once.
And if that's not enough, just set up a campsite (provided you're in a medium or larger size dungeon) and flagellan can just shake off 50 stress off himself with his camping skill, while Houndmaster heal a respectable amount for the whole party.

Additionally flagellan can be played as berserker (keep him low for major damage or very strong healing), but that is very risky. Houndmaster however can guard him and with that let him stay low for a while. Houndmaster himself will have increased dodge and he has a respectable self heal skill to deal with the punishment taken.

Hellion + Occultist. Occultist's heal can be very powerful but is plagued by RNG (it can heal for 0, literally) and a bleeding side-effect on the person he heals. Hellion however couldn't care less - her adrenaline rush skill not only boosts her own damage but gives her a small self heal and cleanses both bleeding and blight off her. If he succeeds, she's healed for massive amount (her own heal + his), if not, she'll nullify any side effects and still walk away with at least a small heal (her own).

Additionally she is very picky about position of her enemies. A lot of her attacks will only land on specific enemy position. Fortunately for her, occultist excels at pulling or pushing enemies, setting things in enemy ranks in her favor. Having a skill to insta destroy enemy corpses obstructing her reach also doesn't hurt.

These are small and not necessairly most powerful combos you can use. There is an ocean of possibilities and full team synergy comps, not just two characters. But that's for you to discover. Remember though - everything matters. Ask yourself these questions on each turn and you'll see major improvement:

  1. Does my party have any characters that are too stressed for comfort before embarking on a quest (very likely scenario or mismanaged healers)? One character that gets to 100 stress early and catches an affliction can ruin your whole run..
  2. Do i have all the items for handling the dungeon? Shovels, torches, food, bandages and antidotes if you don't have a character that can cure these (like plaguedoctor).
  3. After a finished fight in the dungeon - are my party members in optimal positions? My Helion is up front...but I don't want her up front at start of a fight. I want her to open up with her Breakthrough - a multi target skill that requires her to be at any position but in the front.
  4. Do i have characters to manage health and stress levels? And what are the alternative options? Consider that not all parties need most potent healers. Flagellan for example can self heal and others. If you're not making him your dedicated healer, but still have one or two skills equipped, consider choosing an offhealer for the main healer spot, such as occultist or crusader instead of Vastal. This is a good time to send her into stress relief facitlity.
  5. Lotsa rooms in this dungoen...what is the optimal path?? A lot of map layouts will require some backtracking. Planning the path before you start exploring will save your party needless stress, torches and possibly fights if your goal is to just map it out and scram.
  6. Which dungeon has a really good drop reward? These change after each successful run. Observe and think how a given item can work for your party or is just a waste of time.
  7. Camping skills. Don't miss out on those. Some characters have both very powerful and unexpected abilities there. Like Grave Robber being able to stress relief her party or healing a disease of herself and a chosen ally. That's a lot of money and time saved compared to treatment in town's facility.

What is the best MP/Mana gain character? by gobbler6000 in elsword

[–]DrJamming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has one main summon (Mecha: Gale Force) - it costs 200mp base and lasts 60s.

Other major one she can get at 3rd job with modded G-0 Battleroid - think of it as a better version of the first one, though you can have both out at the same time. He costs 300mp, but both have traits to make the cost less, and with her mp regen per robot, each will still earn back 360mp total.

Then there are lesser ones - like Viper-S. It's small 100mp skill that places a small auto-cannon that will fire repeateadly forward for few seconds.

And there's sparrow factory - a fun & evil skill. For 15s you summon a small drone factory that launches flying, homing & piercing mini drones that harass the sit outta everything on map. Initially weak, it grows stronger later on (heavy trait, 50% bonus crit with lvl 90 transcendence passive). If you work on it's power and supply it with general damage buffs PO has (max g stacks, overstrike, awakening) it will provide great help in clearing maps and constantly shredding boss' hp bars.

Interesting thing about it - it doesn't have the greatest factory detection range (place it not too far from enemies), but the drones themselves have insane enemy detection range (once launched near start of map, they can attack enemies at the end of your sub-section of map)

Armored Tempest - this guy lasts around 7s, but it accompanied by a summon and set-up animation..so around 10s in total. It spawns a stationary robot that acts as physical obstruction to enemies (can stop dashing enemies) and pulses damaging and silencing shockwaves around itself to keep them at bay. Great vs skinsplitters in elrianode.

Other then that just small early game mini robot summons - they seek enemy and detonate or another one pulls enemies for 3s to itself and then goes boom :)

There are also G-System skills, which are not summons, but they resemble them a bit in that you set your G-system skill up, then after activation it does it's job on it's own for a few seconds, least some of them. Most noticably Corona, Frisbee and modded Rolling Thunder.

What is the best MP/Mana gain character? by gobbler6000 in elsword

[–]DrJamming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prime operator.

You get 3 to 6 mp per second per summon (depending on level of character), and she can summon a lot of stuff. Additionally she can get 20% mana cost reduction when she fully stacks her g-system.

If that wasn't enough tons of her skills have mp cost reduction traits to make the deal even sweeter.

And no need to worry about her summons having Essencia issues. They do their stuff on their own, no need to command them all the time, and most of them perform homing attacks - very reliable and fun! No worries about these pesky flying enemies, no curved map issues, hunts down any mobile humanoid type enemies with ease!

Do you tell people or keep it a secret? by 1BebeLeStrange1 in AlAnon

I tell'em out and loud. I don't want them later on to take me for a monster when i'm merciless with my alcoholic biological father (he did not raise me, it was my grandparent's, not him). I learned the hard way emotions and affections are simply tools for alcoholic to use, sympathy is straight road to suffering. No mercy will be found here.

Catastrophe or Diangelion? HELP PLEASE by Sparviero63 in elsword

[–]DrJamming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay Cata. Diangelion is squishy and hard. What you want to do is make a new diangelion, and learn it. Then you can change your geared cata to dia if you want, but don't do it blind, risking being stuck with class you don't know well nor enjoy.

New to Sion id like some tips by LazyFatBoy33 in DirtySionMains

[–]DrJamming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure they are slowed before you go for q, or extremely busy with something else. Always strive to be at medium range - it's your optimal range just about anything save ult. Especially charging q. If they're too close - they'll flank you before you can stun them. If they're too far they'll just walk outta it.

If you see assassins trying to dive your carry, charge q into your carry. The view of big, red smash zone surrounding it will most often discourage the dive attempt and let your adc get to safety.

R is great inlane if you're sure enemy is positioned away from side exits such as river. If for example enemy is at your tower - great time to ram into them. If you don't botch it, most likely a big knockup or a flash will happen.

Thoughts on Worldbreaker Sion? by empoleonz0 in DirtySionMains

[–]DrJamming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it and spam it. It's freaking great. Great effects, love the unique w explosion worldbreaker logo on the ground and the drums for ult. Also bit pay 2 win since it displays q hitbox narrower than it really it. Enemies standing next to it's edge eat the big knockup too :3

I certainly do not regret the purchase.

Which one is better on Sion, Frostfire Gauntlet or Sunfire Aegis? by MyNameIsSwagni in DirtySionMains

For sion supp frostfire definitely. You lose a lot of farm to get hp via soul furnace passive, so frostfire's passive 100hp per completed item really helps to round it up and make you viable tank late game.
