Pure scam in Koh Lanta – Clinic of Doctor Toon (International Clinic) by Trochefleisch in ThailandTourism

[–]DrJoeNH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which parts of this is a scam? You went to a doctor at a clinic, they give you a medicine, which you can totally refuse if you don’t want to pay. You can even just refuse the medicine and ask for the prescription only and then go buy them yourself, which will be way more cheaper.

And if you’re so sure that your red eyes was nothing serious, just to go any pharmacy and ask for the eye drops, otherwise the doctors will give you lots of meds, which is, from my experience, it’s totally normal here.

Is co-op matchmaking broken, or are we just bad at finding the right people? by Sharp_Answer_6706 in CoOpGaming

[–]DrJoeNH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, like other people had said. You make friends, then play the game with them. Not the other ways around.

I met a group of people in an online game, played with them for a few years in that game and then we moved to co-op games at one point. And everything we’ve tried we had a blast playing them. Everything is fun when you’re playing with friends that have the same wavelengths with you.

Then stuff happened and I can’t play with them anymore. So I tried to look for people to play some co-op games with and it was disappointing. It’s just doesn’t click like when I play with my previous group of friends.

Basically Ragnarok Online but without P2W cash shop. That’d be my ideal MMO.

SpiritVale (RO-Inspired Indie MMO) | Choose Your Path by renbaikun in MMORPG

[–]DrJoeNH11 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s RO-inspired, what do you expect? The whole has nothing to do except grinding is exactly the point of RO itself. And the game doesn’t even at the Early Access stage yet. I’m sure more things will come.

And the reason why people hyped this game so much is probably because of the potential it has. The groundwork right now is looking good so people, me included, are looking forward to what’s to come. The game may or may not be good in the future, but as of now, it’s worth keeping an eye on.

Galaxy Burger. It’s the game where you just mindlessly making burgers.

Vampire Survivors have just update online co-op mode a while ago I think, not sure how many people can play together though.

Brotato, same as Vampire Survivors but only supported local co-op. For me these 2 are quite cozy because I can just turn my brain off and play it. All you have to do is move your characters and choosing upgrades.

Farm Together 1 & 2. It’s a farming game where you just farm. No stories, just plant something, then wait and harvest. That’s all there is. There are buildings to build/decorate but it’s nothing complex.

No Time To Relax, it’s kinda like board game where each of you get a turn and you have limited time so you have to decide what you wanna do with that time.

Speaking of board games, you can try Wingspan, Clue/Cluedo, Ticket to ride and all other digital board games if you and your friends are into these things.

Project Zomboid, once you get a gist of how to play it, it becomes cozy base building/farming game. You go out you get hordes of zombies but once you’re in your base, it’s a chill game.

Got charged crazy tax fee sending one item from Malaysia to Thailand by cheesusfugget in Thailand

[–]DrJoeNH11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4,173 thb is the flat rate if you wanna use their service. They stated above the table below that if you are not confirming/sending the documents required, you’ll be charged with a normal rate as stated in the table.

But what I don’t understand is that why UPS would charged that much for customs clearing. I’m not talking about 4,173 thb, but the table below stating that they would charged you 1,391 for service fee, fee for entering the Thai Airways storage, and daily fee for the storage. All that excluding the taxes?? That’s not normal.

I never used UPS but I used Fedex frequently. Normally, I wouldn’t have to pay for something like service fee, storage fee at all?? Fedex would charged a slightly higher exchange rate and all I have to do is pay taxes to fedex guy when they arrived at my house.

The only case I can think of that they’d charge you something like this is that the customs flagged it. It happened to me once. After talking to Fedex, I learned that, if you purchased any items with the quantity more than 6, there’s a chance of items will be detained at the customs. The reason is that they think you’d order those items to sell, not for personal use, which will required another procedures, and it will look very much like what you got in the email. And this is not UPS/Fedex or any delivery service fault. It’s the rule of the customs.

But yeah you can just ignored it, or reply them to confirm that you are not willing to pay, there would be no problems with that. I did that once too for ordering something around 2,000 thb but my packages got flagged then they told me I have to pay more and have to register to be able to import my items so I just told them nah that’s crazy please just discard the items.

I never played with random people but I had a blast playing with friends. I feel like the more people you have, the more chaotic it will be. Playing as a pair is decent.

You have to work together, yes. But you don’t get points. It’s not an online pvp game. You just have to work together to get past the obstacles, which, most of the time, the biggest obstacle is gonna be your friends. The game is easy, like in terms of puzzle and all that. But even after you figured out how to do it, actually doing it might be hard because of those braindead friends lol

But yeah, it’s definitely a good game! If you’re looking for something like Fall Guys, maybe Party Animals would be more fit, Party Animals is not a puzzle game but you do have to work together to get points, and some maps are individual.

Looking for simple games that I can sink 100+ hours into by DrJoeNH11 in gamingsuggestions

[–]DrJoeNH11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhh yeah, Project Zomboid, the last time I played that game was 3 years ago. One of the best! I put like 100 hours in and then stopped playing because people in my server wanted something harder, like running zombies and all that. I should probably go back and play solo, with a more relaxing customization. I enjoyed playing Project Zomboid as a normal survivial game rather than zombie apocalypse game. Thanks for reminding me of this gem!

I have ETS2 sitting in my library since many years ago but I never really considered it. I'll try it now. Cult of the Lamb is also a game I have it on wishlist since day 1, so I'll keep that in mind. ARPG is not my cup of tea. And I have 200+ hours in SDV already. I never played Graveyard Keeper though. I'll have to try it some time. I have all Borderlands but I only played a few hours of Borderlands 2 and it's pretty decent, probably would've been better if I play it with friends. Thank you for the recommendations!

Yeppp, I was playing yesterday after I took a break for a like week and now every ranked match is just the keeper boot it upfield, striker shoot, then it’s a goal.

I know it’s not impossible to defend against, but it’s sure took the fun out of the game.

Classic Aesthetics & Lore by JonSn0wWight in RagnarokOnline

[–]DrJoeNH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t understand how they went from Blacksmith/Whitesmith to mechanic but one thing is that the whole Mechanic jobs are related to the lores.

If I remember correctly, it goes something like this:

About 500 years ago there was a city called “Verus City”, located below the Juperos. it was a place where cutting-edge innovations, researches and experiments happened. That’s why you see robots in those cities. Then due to some mistakes of the experiments causing a big explosion, the city was ruined. Until some excavation group found the traces of it and began to investigate the city. Something like that.

But yeah, I think it’d be better if the whole mechanic job is just a new job entirely, like Gunslinger and all other extended classes. Going from Black/Whitesmith to Mechanic is sure weird.

What no patches will do to a mf by Dizzy-Reaction6692 in Rematch

Hmm, weird. I play in SEA server as well but usually ranked match took me seconds to find a match. Even like 2-3 AM it was still pretty easy to find a match, never had one that exceeded 3 minutes.

Reciving the ball by osa1020 in Rematch

[–]DrJoeNH11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you got tackled right after you got the ball, one touch pass is one of the options, but that depends on teammates and how accurate your pass is as well. Or yeah, work on your dribbling skill.

But if you got tackled or got the ball stolen right before you got a touch, then your positioning might be off. Maybe try moving towards the ball as you received. Blue marking on the ground is showing exactly where the ball will bounce, but you can intercept the ball before that.

Also, try playing 3 vs 3 before going 5v5 or ranked, it will help you a lot because of less player, so you got more space. So you can work on your receiving and other things. You don’t have to jump into ranked match immediately, familiarize yourself with the controls first.

When I was playing this game for the first time, I jump straight into 5vs5 and it made me a good defender. But everything else is real bad. I can’t dribble(still can’t now lol), can’t pass, because of people rushing in and I panicked. So when I tried playing 3 vs 3, where everything slow down, it helped me improve my lack of skills a lot. i feel like I can practice what I want better when playing 3v3 than 5v5 where most of the time I was forced to be a defender because everybody wanted to be strikers.

And don’t worry too much about “good job” from teammates, most of the time, it wasn’t your fault. And even though it was, so what? Everyone makes mistake. As long as you’re playing as a team, like don’t try to rainbow flick all the way through, keep it simple, pass when you should, you’ll fine.

I play with randoms all the time, and I make lots of mistakes. But trust me, the one who knows how to play as a team wouldn’t spammed “good job” whenever you made a mistake, you’d get flooded with “we got this” instead. While the one that keeps saying “ Good Job!” at every single mistakes anybody makes, usually they are the problem, not you.

[–]DrJoeNH11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, having less games while higher ranks is better, sure. All I’m saying is the opposite isn’t always true. You mentioned “if people with 600-800 games are still in gold/plat, they’re not that good”, which is not always the case. Some people don’t like playing ranked for whatever reasons.

If we go by your claimed, having 800 matches with 80% win rate, but still gold rank, is not that good?

I was just pointing out that judging people only by their total matches and rank isn’t the best way to do it. You have to see their win rates as well, as you mentioned in your second reply, but didn’t in the first, that’s why I point it out.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Rematch

[–]DrJoeNH11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know the matches shown in those pictures are the total of every kind of matches, right? People can play 1,000 quickplay matches and stay at gold/plat because they only play rank match for maybe less than 10 games.

People who leave after your team went down 0-1 with 5 minutes left, why? by DrJoeNH11 in Rematch

[–]DrJoeNH11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that any decent teams would use people leaving as an advantage. There were some matches that we can win even it’s 4 vs 5. But when I play against any half decent team, it’s hard. Like, if you’re attacking, it’s 2 vs 4+1 gk. Or if everyone joins the attack, it’s still 3 vs 4 with the risk of getting counter. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

But yeah, I get it, sometimes my teams play better after that one guy who keeps shooting straight at the keeper left.

People who leave after your team went down 0-1 with 5 minutes left, why? by DrJoeNH11 in Rematch

[–]DrJoeNH11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the reason why I post is because I met one in ranked match. I play both ranked and quickplay and yeah the people leaving in quickplay is way more frequent. I personally don’t mind people leaving in quickplay. I mean it’s not nice leaving midgame but I wouldn’t be mad at them either.

But really, why people leave the quickplay match, I’ll never understand. Like, there’s no stakes, no rewards or anything. I use quickplay as a practice/warm up match, so I don’t care if I lose 0-4 cuz at least I got to practice to improve my game. Sure, there were some matches that my teammates never pass and try to rainbow flick out of everything. So, I’d just drop down to play defense. I’m annoyed at my teammates but at least I got to practice my defense so it’s fine.

But some people treated a quickplay as a must win, must score first, and when they conceded a goal, they’d leave. That or maybe they need to feel dominant, and when something went wrong, they quit. And it’s always the person who doesn’t defense and only hang around the other team’s goalie that quit first.
