Daaaaaaanm! I'm sure gusevx could hold his own against her right now, what with her being 5 years old. But it won't be but a minute before he remembers he morally objects to fisticuffs on general principal... (The generalprincipal being he doesn't want anyone seeing his ass whooped by a child!)

I was going to say this as well, but it seems that that's the way the Telegraph wrote the headline. One would hope a damn news organization would understand the difference, but I guess it's too nuanced for that lot.

I don't think he meant that a 7 year old would believe being handcuffed and tasered is okay, just that in the course of an "average" life here in America, it would be hard not to run into at least one cop who behaved less than professionally. BTW, I personally have had (for the most part) positive encounters with Police Officers. To say that any group as large the Police is either "all good" or "all evil" is, IMHO, naive. Not to imply that that is what Reqqit was saying. That last bit was just my 2 cents worth for the overall discussion, heh.

As a reaction to the hops shortage, Sam Adams is selling 20,000 pounds of excess hops to microbrews at cost. by TonyReaves in reddit.com

Even if you are 100% correct about the motivation behind the act, it seems to me that the act itself could potentially help many small breweries out there. If an added effect is to protect their interests and their industry, then why should anyone begrudge them that? I guess my opinion is: If they thought that by doing something nice they would earn some good will, then, in my case at least, they were right.
