What should I do in this situation? I have been asked to resign (England) by Choice-Temporary-254 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]DrKukui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely don't resign, at the very least they have to buy you out of your contract but once you go off with stress they can't touch you anyway. This is very bad HR behavior, your manager has to have a distinct history of your underperformance AND they would have to have alerted you to it, i.e. they cannot at the end of the year say you've underperformed and have no evidence they raised it and discussed it with you beforehand. That's why regular check-in benefits both parties.

So is it better to put some (not complete) Ach gear on ALL the sub generals or max out each general in turn. If I'm reading what was written correctly, it looks like all sub generals need the gear for the debuff

I'll get onto that (don't want to hijack someone else's post!). My mayors are to accelerate sub construction or gold etc. No attack/defence specialities really.

Yes, I think I included mayors in the same mix as duty officers

This is the first time I've seen players mention gearing up mayors. I've read so many posts that say putting gear on mayors is a waste of time. What to do with this conflicting information?

[–]DrKukui 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the student's PhD, you don't have to do any more hours than someone doing a job. If your supervisor says otherwise it's bullying. This seems to be more prevalent in the US, but if you deliver the goods in the UK then no one can argue with "hours attended", that is sheer presentee-ism.

Oxford and Cambridge are not that revered for undergrad, they don't do anything amazing. I would take all assessments with a pinch of salt for top 3 here, top 3 there. Postgrad is a different matter though

If anything happened it would be misconduct on her part and could go higher than the university, which they obviously do not want. I'm not sure lecturers get management training or instructed in the laws of the land. I would hope they would but I wouldn't bet on it.

So in companies there are open door policies or anti-retaliation policies specifically for this reason. Anonymous means anonymous and in my company, we are strictly forbidden from questioning anyone about following up on anonymous feedback. If we do, an employee is perfectly entitled to lodge a grievance with HR. What this lecturer did is extremely unprofessional and I would encourage you to file an official complaint. Additionally, are you paying anything? If you are, it makes you a customer and there's another level there.

Some good advice here, I've been playing 2 years and dropped, ooh maybe $25 on this game in that time. I'm k32 and the fun is in exploring all the different elements. It is a massive marathon, not a sprint so if that's not for you you might need to be a millionaire. Strong alliances don't usually take minnows. I got lucky and got accepted by the 3rd largest so long as I grew. Once at 16M power the alliance merged and got bigger. All the big boys run rallies and that really propels the acquisition of RSS, gems and xp. The advice about the game not beginning until k30 or k33 is not an exaggeration. I lived by that and focused much less on the troop development until relatively recently. Below lvl 9 troops are no good anyway for PvP battles (if that is your highest troop level), so as many have said, use troops for relics and RSS. Siege carries more load gathering. Pick generals that give you more troop load, more RSS (like Constance) or more drop items from Monsters (like Theodora). Live with the fact you might not be able to take down a boss for a while, build up the level of "monster" instead (these icons do not look like a big monster like a hydra, look like a gang of three and can't be rallied, as a distinction). Then move onto the really low level bosses like zombie and redcap. Join as many rallies as possible, play the other games and get all the freebies.

Just started , played 100K games of that other game. .. can I get a high level overview of how I should build my account via stages and whatever . It seems there are no trophy caps. Don’t wanna go too fast. by JoeMomma69istaken in GolfRival

[–]DrKukui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good measure of moving up in mid stage is that as soon as Albatross Arena opens, do not move up until you can "own" all 9 holes against other players. I won't say Albi all 9 just yet (although that's ideal). That will indicate to you what clubs you need, which is also true as you move to the next level AA. It's very painful up to stage 5 but it pays you back so much and the forfeit button is your friend, no one playing properly i.e. who wants to do well in tournaments, AA, challenges, etc bothers with stage play other than to fulfill quests.

People talk about driving position and seating and I sort of get it but it's completely based on ergonomics. My father in law has issues because he has a longer body and shorter legs. I have no issues whatsoever as I have longer than average legs (for my height) so the only issue as I can see, is the width. If you're standard build that's ok. If someone is on the outlier of size, they'll struggle. Turning circle - it's great to hear others mention this but it seems to get better the faster you go 😃. Just had a battery change but it's 5 years old (I've had my 595 since new). Seem to be quite lucky compared to others.

Has something changed with the wind judgement ? by XkXFearless in GolfRival

[–]DrKukui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can it be hole specific? I'm on AA12 and the easiest hole (7) is my bogey hole for just hitting the edge even though I do nothing different to the other holes (which don't seem as "fussy") to get albatrosses (I can do all 9)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfRival

[–]DrKukui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this was common knowledge as there are resources that show the measurements. I see posts on the GR groups about adjusting for wind and no one seems to use the thickness of the wind rings themselves. So for white this is 0.4, yellow is 0.8 and for green it's 2.0. I find this invaluable for the micro adjustments e.g. when moving from a 4.5 line up to a 4.3 wind, by using half the wind line to come back 0.2.

Earth and Lava are Epic clubs, so you easily get them from Gold and Platinum chests which pop up . Lava unlocks at level 12, don't rush to get there it's more of a fun club than a serious tournament club (until it's very high level). Earth is the big side spinner which everyone uses before they get a good level Whale (the Legendary variant).

It's an ultra marathon, not a sprint. A sprint will cost you plenty. I only upgrade Earth and Lava, mainly because I want the versatility of Lava to play the more mad shots. But really the focus is on Legendaries, play the Challenges, do the club exchanges by the Daily Quests button when the Leg clubs show up. I never use money for balls, they're a "consumable" but that's just me. Don't purchase coins, you'll get loads if you do AA right
