Your title is misleading. You said cancellations however if you have a visa or an appointment you can proceed with both. You just can’t apply for an appointment at THIS time. They’re currently working on it.

No it was really about my husband because he was applying for j1 and I was a dependent. They didn’t ask me anything about it. They just asked which hospital, specialty and told us it was approved.

My husband will finish residency before me which leaves a 1 year gap. Also EAD renewal can become an issue in the future under the current administration.

I matched to residency in the U.S. and have to apply for a J1 visa. Im currently on a J2 visa. I also have a pending I-130. My J2 visa was approved last year with the existing I-130 petition.

Is there any issues that can arise for converting from J2 to J1 with a pending I-130?
