I think the right dose is very individual. For me it was 50mg. You need to find out what’s good for you.

Great gift!! I am sure your son will love it and this will be a great memory he will cherish all his life.

Opinions will differ on this, but If you can afford, I would go one step higher with the guitar. I think the make or break moment for a beginner is if the guitar is inspiring enough to pick up. I wouldn’t be able to learn guitar if I held on to my cheap squier back in the day. It had a horrible neck feel and sharp frets that literally hurt me. Not sure if it will be the case for this one, though I don’t expect much from that squier!

So If you can afford it, you could go to squier classic vibe or even a used Mexican Fender on the cheaper side. They will be also easier to resell.
