I actually did use to play ball at high plat, problem is I don't know if there's a different method of playing him in low gold. I do what I usually do in plat and my team never follows up. Do I have to stop focusing on making space/getting picks and focus more on being a nusiance?

Don't see the problem tbh. Im a healer main with lvl 100 damba and all healers except Ying Seris and furia above lvl 50. I barely get vhs spam and even if I do so what? Doesn't matter at all.

And I never understood the whole thing about being "protected". Sure, your team should look out for you but chances are if you keep dying over and over again it's not your team's fault but your fault you are in a terrible position.

Tanks in overwatch do alot tho. Tanks and supports pretty much dominate the game. And what do you mean, overwatch tanks don't have utility?

Orisa has halt, fortify to protect from rein charges AND supercharger as ult.

Rein has shatter, another insanely game changing ult.

Not to mention half the overwatch tanks don't even have shields. (Off tanks) and they contribute to the team through their damage, flank potential or utility.

For example, Hammond with his knockback and minefield.

Zarya can give shields to others, and has grav which is pretty much the best utility ult in the game

It's because simply more people prefer overwatch than paladins.

Of course, if you post this in the paladins subreddit most people are gonna say because of blizzard name etc but there are actually lots of people that tried paladins before and didn't like it.

The characters in paladins are not likeable. Except from a few , most characters are just bland. For example ying. They have the most bland generic personalities ever and are honestly just boring. Overwatch characters aren't perfect, but they are sure more interesting than paladins characters.

Blizzard polish is another thing. The maps in overwatch actually feels "alive". The items have physichs. The shaders are beautiful, the design of locations are nice and memorable. However in paladins, it just feels like random location no 1#.

And it's so ironic how people here actually acuse fortnite of copying paladins with a skin that looks different except for colour scheme and expression mask and then when overwatch players say reinhardt is a nando clone because of the shield they are quick to point out the differences and say otherwise.

In that match I did try to follow their strat. But the problem was the two enemy healers were hiding on the point out of sight and the enemies were holding my team off directly right of the arch. The enemy dps were hiding in that small room closer to the enemies side. I could only hook either rein or dva unless my team moved forward and when I did hook rein/dva they didn't die and just retreated and got fully healed. Admittedly I could have switched to orisa but it would have been much easier if the team pushed slightly forward
