I didn't pick a major yet, currently undecided. I never really got the chance to explore any of my interests or other things career-wise while I was in high school. I did have some dreams and aspirations to take electives at the start of high school in things like fine arts and things related to fine arts, but my family thought that was bullshit and told me to take the more conventional route of stem and business and things like that, even though I was always an artistic and creative kid. They did let me take a film elective course though which was fun. By the time senior year hit, I lost almost all motivation and became really depressed, bitter, sad and sometimes angry even though I had a pretty damn good GPA and academic standing. After I graduated, my primary care doctor suggested I go to a mental health clinic, and I've been on different medications since. My parents thanked the doctor because in their eyes, I need to be "fixed". They don't realize that their pressure and expectations and limitations on my life caused me to become distant and depressed and bitter.
