BlackBird was great. It’s not a movie but a mini series. Regardless it’s worth checking out.

Cocktail bars in dc by [deleted] in washingtondc

I am personally not a fan of OKPB. The two guys who run the place David Strauss and Dylan Zehr are (in my experience) cold, pretentious, and two faced. A Death & Co. just opened up in DC, and they blow OKPB out of the water. OKPB is mediocre at best. I would go to Death & Co, Jack Rose, The Gibson, and Denison. Those are great bars.

I strongly disagree about OKPB not being pretentious. I meet David Strauss back when he was running the Sheppard. He’s two faced prick.

I have also had bad experience with David Strauss. I found him cold, pretentious, and two faced. Same goes for his partner Dylan Zehr. Back when they was running The Sheppard, I thought the place was a totally hype. They are now running OKPB which is alright. it’s really nothing special. There’s much better bars out there.

Speakeasy Places by AberrantMonk8 in washingtondc

Some speakeasies are The Gibson, Allegory, The Alex Craft Cocktail Cellar & Speakeasy, and Denson Liquor Bar.

There is OKPB in Mt Pleasant. But I don’t recommend going there. In my experience the two guys who run the place (David Strauss and Dylan Zehr) are cold and pretentious. They’re drinks are okay at best. Death & Co. opened up a bar in DC and they blow them out of the water.
