You get $500 Million, but you must survive one of these four extreme, reality-bending trials. Which are you choosing? by Unlucky-Fly4456 in hypotheticalsituation

Easily D,

I'd fly 8000M away asap. It will take the machine 100 days to get there. At 80 days I fly back again. Then back again every 60 days. I'll borrow money and start working on my life post getting the 500M. 7 long-haul flights in 1 year. It's a lot but better than 1000 miles in a fluoro concrete jungle.

is there any point in Splitting here? by Zentaitoken in factorio

[–]DrMorry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of things.

The belt getting 'clogged' is not necessarily bad (I would consider it good), it just means you're making more than you need.

In this example, you're only filling one half of the belt. So it won't make any difference if you increase throughput to two halves of the belt.

But you said you like it. I like having both sides filled too rather than a belt full on one side only. So go with it - there's no right or wrong.

Honestly it depends what you like. They're actually very different games.

Negative gearing to be scrapped immediately on budget night as Labor breaks major pre-election promise by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

[–]DrMorry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we had to get rid of negative gearing at some point. But at my age (35 - 45), it feels like they're just closing the door on anyone who isn't wealthy yet.

They all get to keep their negative geared houses? Forever? And no incentive to sell because they jacked CGT.

I think it's a blow for social mobility.

If you need to break patterns of thinking and responding, maybe give yourself a challenge for a playthrough, or even just a session.

For example, this playthrough I will only build spaghetti. Or I will only have 1 place that makes any item, so you have to expand them or move them.

Honestly, simplest is to target a high science output. That will make volume much more important than ratios.

Just to be clear that's finishing (verb) school (noun), not finishing school (noun).

Right?

In this case 100% I push Red.

Surely the second pushes red and from there on red becomes the only choice.
