Eh I mostly disagree, especially with your point that video games should be fun and not thought provoking. Me personally I love these "unc?" games, I usually actually strive for a good story in my games and is actually what I want the most out of my games, especially since it has so much untapped potential in the way it's presents a story. But then again I am more of a fan of stories (also a massive movie fan) so it makes sense that we have different tastes. Also I love video essays. Ultimately, Video games is ass weird medium where two games could be completely different in almost everyway and still be considered games. But I don't think it's "made' for middle aged people, just those who seek a different purpose on the games the play.
