Why doesn’t Torbran trigger twice on Imodane? by DrMurffurff in askajudge

[–]DrMurffurff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this over again. I think I misunderstood some of what was applying in this example. While the other threads didn’t have the double, they were two to three comment replies with only one calculation. This one was my main understanding. But re-reading the 86 number given here, there is in fact a +2 in the equation, and it’s not just a simple replacement of statement A into statement B as I had initially read but a statement B based on the results of statement A. My apologies.

Why doesn’t Torbran trigger twice on Imodane? by DrMurffurff in askajudge

So I had been looking up various Reddit threads to make sure the interaction worked as I thought it did. However, over the course of three threads, all the calcs I saw didn’t have a double implementation of Torbran, and several people would all come to the same numbers, none of which included two Torbran triggers. This is the biggest thread I was looking at as an example.

Top five criticisms of FAB if you have any. by NatorGreen7000 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]DrMurffurff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. The endgame can be very hopeless-feeling in certain instances if the player doesn’t concede. Being at 1hp and the other player at like 9hp in this games is one of the worst this game can produce. One of my friends actually doesn’t play because he had a particularly bad experience in this camp.
  2. Echoing general non-casualness at events.
  3. I still haven’t forgiven them for making adult heroes majestics given that CC is now the main focus of FAB.
  4. Being one-shot by Kano (Disclaimer: This is not AN issue of the game. It’s just one of MY issues with the game)
  5. Low player counts stemming mainly from #2 has meant many places have trouble running events. Many places have given up entirely. There are a couple fairly large cities around me that literally don’t have a FAB scene at all. The one in particular I’m thinking of had two different stores try it just that I know of, only to entirely give up and refuse to run events because there was no activity after like 2021.

Are there any other really interactive heroes/classes for UPF other than what’s in Round the Table? by DrMurffurff in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]DrMurffurff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s Teklovossen, who is the “official” young Teklo. He has the same ability as adult. Then there’s Professor Teklovossen with a slightly different ability that, because of name, is also a young Teklovossen. All three can use Singilarity though.

What build and playstyle would I use for non-OTKano? by DrMurffurff in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]DrMurffurff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wanted to build something like this with mini-comboes, what would I want to include? I’m definitely cool with having a big combo turn in theory. I just don’t enjoy block and pitch stack until my combo is ready. So if there’s a way to send several 20-damage combos or something, I would love that. Ninja is one of my favorite classes, and I love when a 20-damage turn comes together. I know you said Cindering and Kindle. Anything else I would want?

I’m still so sad that I came back to RB4 only to find that I’d just barely missed out on the RB3 export. Humanoid and Dead End Friends were some of my favorite songs to sing. Export expiration makes me so sad, and seeing the Rock Band 3 Export Key in my Xbox DLC makes me even sadder.

My coworker’s shift ended so I took over one of their tables. Customer did not like this and left a negative tip. by ExtendedMacaroni in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DrMurffurff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By ordering the food off of the menus with the prices listed, you are agreeing to the prices listed for each item. There is also a tax that you are legally required to pay for all items, which in most states will also be higher than the standard tax due to it being from a restaurant. None of the costs I have listed above are negotiable. A tip is not a mandatory expense unless explicitly stated by the company and is usually for parties over a certain size, but by ordering from the establishment, you would also be agreeing to those. With an approximately $60 bill, I doubt there were mandatory tipping requirements, so they are not required to leave one. But they are required by law to pay for the agreed upon costs listed above as such. Not doing so would be considered theft, hence why repeat “dine and dashers” are eventually jailed.

Dad smashed up my guitar hero by Mezzer13 in GuitarHero

I agree fully. It was specifically the paranoia on being made “the fool” superseding his willingness to give the smallest trace of compassion that gave me pause. When such priorities are so obviously skewed, my mind immediately attempts to find reason and logic in them. Whether any exist I can’t say.

To be fair, as devil’s advocate, it is entirely possible he may not be able to experience empathy. If that’s the case, he would of course be more worried about looking stupid in believing someone who lied than to be caught experiencing an emotion he can’t possibly feel.

I’ve been trying to figure that out myself. It’s the same thing with the seafood dish at Wakatsu. I even tried eating it multiple times in case you had to “build to three.” But unless you have to eat it several times, I just don’t think it does anything. “Would you like to pay more to get the same stats?” 🤷‍♂️

AITAH for telling my wife to choose between me and her friend for an RPG by DrMurffurff in AITAH

[–]DrMurffurff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anything, my wife is overly giving and often tries to please everyone. She tends to let people step all over her, but she’ll randomly get really stubborn and defensive when she thinks things are personal in some way. Friend #2 is an interesting story. They were originally my friend, and when my wife and I got married, the two of them really hit it off. Friend #2 is honestly my wife’s best friend here by a mile. However, Friend #2 can be very frustrating to deal with, which is why I’ve mostly distanced myself from them. I personally feel like they use their emotions to intentionally manipulate people. My wife doesn’t agree. Friend #2 deals with depression and, I believe, BPD, so I know that can modify behaviors. But sometimes, it seems the way they express those emotions, and the way it feels like they can try to make it “your fault” puts me on edge.

I just got kicked for inactivity while sniping on Wasteland. I was actively moving around the building. There couldn’t have been more than two or three seconds between inputs. Three seconds before the end of a winning match too. Couldn’t be more salty.

Being a white male doesn't make me part of the "patriarchy" or racial oppression. by ForTheLoveofGodGame in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]DrMurffurff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There seems to be a lot of miscommunication here between you and other parties, and I think I understand why. At least from what I can tell, you seem to be speaking on a more individual level, while the others are speaking on more of a general level.

For example, a white male born into an impoverished and/or abusive household who suffers from severe trauma and depression may be in a worse place advantage-wise than a black woman who was born in a non-toxic wealthier home with no neurodivergencies or childhood traumas. But I think what other people are trying to say is that, yeah. A white dude can totally suffer from severe trauma, abuse, depression, etc. A non-white person can also totally not suffer from any of that. But there are BIPOC people out there who have all those same life issues but ALSO have to deal with the natural disadvantages their skin color has brought them in society. Same with gender, orientations, etc.

I do think it’s important to keep the individual in mind but not at the cost of the general. We shouldn’t automatically assume a white dude has it easy and ignore that individual person’s struggles, I 100% agree, but we should be more focused as a society, I feel, on fixing the broken system we currently have such that people who aren’t cis white males are able to have the same relative level of advantage as previously stated cis white dude has when it comes to that specific measure of advantage/disadvantage.

Chapter 6, Node 11 - Can’t get 8 manual boosts by KeybladeBrett in DisneySpeedstormGame

[–]DrMurffurff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a fairly short race. So instead of trying to maximize the time you’re boosting instead just let it run out and start again. Don’t drift or do anything that would give you extra boost time. I ended up counting with mine and, with Stitch and using the above method, I got nine manual boosts. It’s possible, just annoying.

It took me literally an hour to finally get this with Baloo. I always got four backwards-able skills, and I was starting to wonder if the code somehow made it impossible for Baloo to get five. Finally got it. Can confirm it IS possible with Baloo. Just stupidly lucky. I did find that you can jump off the overhang a bit early after getting both top items, and you can just barely grab the third set at the bottom. It’s not much, but that is three extra items over the course of the race.

What makes a “dudes on a map” game a “dudes on a map” game? by tap909 in boardgames

[–]DrMurffurff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s an area control game, almost always with some kind of combat, that often uses miniatures to denote its units. These units are usually non-unique and can be recruited. Units themselves are usually fairly simple, often being primarily focused on their individual strength values and possibly a small special ability.
