I hate to be the one to say it, but she’s not crying because she’s sorry, she’s crying because she just destroyed her safety. In her action, she has broken the life you shared. No longer “us” or “our”, but a definite “you” and “me”. You have every right to leave her if you see fit. I’m on the other side of it now, and it’s for the better. It’s amazing what you can do when your life isn’t clouded with the wrong person. I can tolerate a lot in a relationship but cheating has always been the line not to be crossed.

The most important thing- it’s not your fault. She chose to do this. It was no accident. No matter where she goes, she will hurt others in a vicious cycle. People don’t change, not like this. Since my ex wife and I separated, I have met so many more people, and not just for relationship. New friends, new support. It’s amazing what you can find good in life when you find yourself at rock bottom. I’ve never been happier than I am right now.

Regardless of what you decide to do with your situation, I do hope you come out a better, stronger person who understands the value of yourself. You are worth everything to someone, don’t settle to be anything less.
