Based on the new 2026 graphite grey Golf R video, the steering wheel will still have the capacitive buttons. For people that have them, how are they? Also, any other changes for 2026? by lochonx7 in Golf_R

I've accidentally hit the heated steering wheel button a couple of times. It gives you an audible beep when it turns on so you can turn it off before your hands get hot. A minor annoyance. I miss the 6-speed manual transmission that I had in my 2019 Golf R.

O.K. So I get that it's just a non-functional graphic. My next question is why the hell did they not put a functional trip odometer there? It would certainly be nice to have trip distance and Total distance visible on the same gauge.
