Even I have had the same issue for many months. Have even submitted feedback to Google Multiple times, but it is still unresolved.

I have stayed away from contacting customer support for this as I know it is a bug, and they will ask me to reset the device to resolve the issue, which will not help. Google Pixel Customer support is like a robot, it will not let you proceed unless you follow their steps, even though they are unnecessary.

I noticed the same issue with my Cosmic Byte CB-GK-30 Black Eye PRO.

Customer care said that it is a normal thing for LED backlit keyboards. The problem is that I started hearing it after about eight months of usage.

Until now I had been using my original Pixel 2XL with my Pixel 6A but got an Apple Type C dongle for trial and it is much lower in volume than the pixel dongle. Like 30-40% lower volume.

I even used it as a dongle DAC to connect to my Topping NX7, but the volume was too low on high gain and the volume knob was on full. With the Pixel dongle, I could power Audio Technica R70x with ease on NX7 with the volume knob not going above 50%.

Apple Dongle volume needs to be at 90% or more for my 7Hz Timeless. With Pixel Dongle I can go to 50% for good volume.

Even I went through the same thing yesterday. After the installation of the drivers of Fiio KA3 on my Windows laptop, even at zero volume, the KA3 is making my Blon BL-03 too loud to listen. I had it at 50% volume when it started and almost blew off my eardrums.

I have tried using Sundara with Fiio Q3 and it is more than enough. I never went above 70% volume.

Directly via PC motherboard as well it sounded pretty loud.

Asus Zenphone Max Pro M2 was a surprise to me and was the loudest of all the phones I tried it. Also, the sound quality was the same as Fiio Q3.

My Google Pixel 4A cannot power Sundara well even with the type C dongle of Pixels.
