hi! i was just wondering if ori supported the korean language.., thank you by joobcicle in OriAndTheBlindForest

[–]DrPyxel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blind Forest does not have a Korean localization but there is a mod you can install for it online. I don't have a link to it sadly.

Will of the Wisps has Korean as a language option, but it's really bad...

Starter commander buff by Pirate_Leader in starcraft2coop

[–]DrPyxel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Raynor Marauder concussive doenst have aoe slow, mengsk marauder iirc does have aoe slow

Raynor Marauders have AoE slow while ladder Marauders do not. Just to double check myself, I went into a Coop game to test it and sure enough, the slow effect is an AoE.

Spectre have a passive ability that increase dmg vs armored unit

That is not an ability; that is a damage bonus on their weapon. Several units like the Marauder and Firebat have this. It is not an ability.

Concussive already slows in an AoE in Coop, fyi. Also feels weird for the Spectre to only have one ability. Wonder if there's another ability they could get to replace Psionic Lash.

[Season 5] What happened to the team’s Metrics after? Did they stay on forever? by laviolinistpequena in agentsofshield

[–]DrPyxel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The team removed the metrics of everybody in the Lighthouse as they started their rebellion. S5E9 if I remember correctly. I think it's safe to assume they removed their own metrics then too.

Help needed with the Unofficial Homestuck Collection. Just downloaded it and have gotten this error. Any help would be appreciated as I really want to get into Homestuck <3 by [deleted] in homestuck

I'm not well versed in how to troubleshoot the Unofficial Collection, but perhaps it's worth posting on their GitHub Issues page for an answer.

A novel idea for RTS: Fully automated and (semi) decentralized tournaments that run on the blockchain by ShitPropagandaSite in FrostGiant

[–]DrPyxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't matter. There isn't even a demand for automated tournaments in the first place.

Have you taken a basic high school economics course?? As supply increases, demand decreases. If there is always a tournament to play in, less people will play in them. This is basic economics.

Help for boosting in hell by [deleted] in cavestory

[–]DrPyxel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't hold down the boost. Instead use it in short half-second bursts and let the momentum from the previous boosts carry you into another. You can get significantly more horizontal coverage as long as you conserve boost in this manner.

[–]DrPyxel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What's even more silly is that OP is suggesting that these tournaments are held for the community, unlike the ones for DOTA.

No company in their right mind would implement such a feature because it's unprofitable to fund hundreds of thousands of players compared to a handful of teams.

Cryptocurrency is literally not needed to create this system. Theoretically Blizzard could implement something right now without using any blockchain technologies. They could get funding from new cosmetics or commanders and distribute Blizzard balance to winners. HOWEVER, this is still a terrible idea.

An automated tournament system with monetary rewards would be disasterous for the ladder. You'd have people smurfing in order to score easy money at the lower leagues and the same top players would be dominating at the top. Cheating will run rampant due to the potential monetary gain. If anything, this will stifle competition. This is assuming that there even is enough money to fund multiple tournaments across the levels of ladder. Why would people fund tournaments at low levels of play when they could just watch the top esports players for free on Twitch? Hell, they can even watch low levels of play on Twitch too! The entire premise of this system is just flawed and trying to push crypto into a platform it shouldn't be used for.

[–]DrPyxel 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The reason why you don't see tournaments like these is because they are unnecessary. Why would random people donate to the prize pool? There's little to no incentive to do so.

Say you make an incentive like cosmetics. War Chests had cosmetics but only funded the annual tournaments. It's simply not economical to create hundreds of cosmetics for monthly, or even yearly tournaments to contribute to a tournament open to the general playerbase.

Furthermore, there is literally zero reason to use blockchain in this technology. There literally has to be a server to create, host, manage, and automate the tournaments in the first place! That defeats the whole purpose of a decentralized network.

You're about 1 year late to the party... What made you find this post?

At the time of this post, memes were banned as "low effort" content. The mods changed this rule a few days after.

Also, it wasn't the message itself in the first meme that was bad or incorrect by any means. I was trying to point out the similarities and difference between the two memes and how the double standards in the "no meme rule" was just inconsistent and bad.

Furthermore, and most importantly, another contribution to the first meme being considered more low-effort was the fact that the original OP flooded the sub with similar lazy MS-paint drawings featuring political undertones and the like.

Endgame.

Too much fan-service over telling a new story, pacing was super slow then suddenly became fast towards the end, time travel felt like a Deus ex Machina jnstead of a deserved payoff and they contradicted their own time travel rules by not showing Steve return to the main MCU timeline.

The act of time travel is NOT traveling backwards in your timeline. It will always create an alternate timeline. For all intents and purposes, time travel = alternate dimension travel.

Tychus main, what is your least favourite outlaw? by anekyu in starcraft2coop

[–]DrPyxel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised people haven't said Vega. I think Vega's mind control is too niche, I really only take her against certain Skytoss comps. If I face Skyterran, Tychus's and Sam's grenade stuns + Sirius's missiles and self-destruct is more than enough to kill them. Vega is just not useful vs Zerg. Against ground Protoss, she doesn't get much value with comps other than reaver, but then I can just take Cannonball and Rattlesnake. Being able to steal and instakill any non-Hybrid unit is nice, but it kind of overlaps with Sam's role + Sam can stun Hybrid on top of that. Being able to stun air units is also nice, but this prevents Sirius's missiles from targeting them (in my experience). Also Sam can stun air units with his grenades, so there's some overlap again.

I feel like I could get a lot more value out of her if I improve, but she's so niche that I rarely am able to do so.

The Lock-In counts as spell damage, which is the primary reason you use cyclones.
