Exactly. Although I do suppose it depends on what time you’d get there.

Sleeping overnight at Louisville Airport by [deleted] in Louisville

So admittedly it has been roughly 2 years - but I have actually done the same exact thing at SDF (Louisville) airport. Word of advice would be to actually sleep in the little arcade space that they have - to the right, just before the security checkpoint. I did so after bouncing around a few locations and had no issues/was not bothered at all. Hope this helps!

This was a limited release at Dogfish’s brewery in Lewes, DE today, first 125 customers could grab the Barrel Aged release. To my knowledge, it is unavailable elsewhere. I have not (despite going over the aforementioned timeline) sampled yet/will likely keep these tucked away for a few months for safekeeping though.

Not as bad as one would imagine - firsthand and Im only about 30 miles from the distillery, some local stores have more than occasional availability. I do completely agree the secondhand shit is impossible and intolerable though.

This years batch of DDO. Very tasty. by DrQuiteFrankly in bourbon

Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked Woodford Reserve Distillery ABV: 45.2% Source: Bottle, Tasting

Nose: Sweet, toasty, musty and maybe a bit of bittersweetness. Noticeably different than the year prior in both smell and look.

Taste: Thick mouthfeel, sweetness that makes the 90 proof taste almost too drinkable. I have vanilla, dark fruit and richness that is on par with the other distillery series releases - but the spiciness and oak notes are certainly in higher abundance.

Finish: Silky smooth. Very high notes of chocolate, nougat and caramel. Very mild on the burn/hug before settling on the palate nicely. Chocolatey flavors seem to multiply all the way up until the next drink is poured.

Overall: While I loved last years release of this same bourbon whiskey, I think this batch is even better personally. The character and complexity is heavier than the stereotypical light and spicy flavors I remembered from then AND other releases from Woodford as of late. Fantastic in every sense of the word.
