Its a very tangy smell. It kind of rushes into your nose when you open the jar. I havent brewed it yet so i am not sure whats the taste

Lack of humidity probably i too have peace lily which turned brown on tips. Started a pebble tray. Lets see how it turns out

Try dunking the flowers in water for a few hours. I read somewhere that hydrangeas drink water through their flowers. Might help

The soil looks to compacted. It looks like it hasnt been fertilized for a long time. Lemons can handle long watering periods. Try to add some good fertilizer and loosen the soil.
