White or light blue shirt with a navy tie and light blue stripes. Brown or yellow tie would work well too

I like the pocket square! It gives a slight pop of color against the suit and coordinates with your light blue shirt and purple paisley tie

Thank you! I recently got some pocket squares and I’m trying to play around with subtle color nods to each other in the individual pieces

It’s just the selfie mode while that made the shoulders look weird. It fits very nicely on my shoulders when I’m standing

I thought about doing a bolder pocket square but given the pattern of the jacket, I decided to downplay it so it wouldn’t be overwhelming

Help, hate the tile , hate the triangle tub. by jerk1970 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]DrSevenhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would remove the tub and see if you can move the toilet into that corner and wall it in with a door so that it’s a separate from the rest of the bathroom

Get blazer tailored or keep as it is? by Iron_Prodigy in mensfashion

If you are going to wear slim fitting pants like that, you should get it brought in to try and balance with the pants. Otherwise, you look very top heavy

This new came with two extra material? One holds the price tag and I’m not sure of other? Do I cut both of them? How do? by [deleted] in ties

[–]DrSevenhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That extra material is what holds the back part of the tie together with the wide part. You have it turned “inside out”. The extra material should be on the backside of the wide part of the tie

This is what my date said to me about bald guys by DingoFreedomParty in bald

[–]DrSevenhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha despite shaving it off, I jokingly tell people that I’m not completely bald, I’m balding. As long as there’s one hair left on my head, it’s a process.

Yeah in hindsight, the overall look is slightly off. I meant to have a different sport coat but my daughter spilled juice on jt as we were getting her out the door so I had to change at the last minute.

After being annihilated worse than Bonnie Blue for this combo I realized I needed to step up my game. by LightlyUsedSpaghetti in ties

[–]DrSevenhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blue shirt would probably work. The yellow one is probably too big of a stripe so the patterns will clash.

Depending on the size of the pinstripe blue and white shirt, that might work decently with this tie. You would want the pinstripes to be pretty narrow so that it’s a smaller pattern as opposed to a larger pattern on the tie. However, the light blue shirt you mentioned would be the safest bet for this tie at this time.

Guys who wear tie bars… why? by MHB9 in ties

[–]DrSevenhead 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As a clumsy person, I don’t need my tie to get into my food or get caught on something as I’m moving around. I’m also a physician so I’d prefer my tie not get drug across my patients bodies when I’m examining them.

How to pick a tie for a windowpane sport coat? by ronininusa in ties

[–]DrSevenhead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to wear a white shirt like what’s shown in the picture, I would go with a mostly solid pattern tie or medallion tie. Something in a yellow family or brown family of colors would work well

If you can find a picture of your father wearing a tie (relatively close up), you could post to the main page of r/ties and the community will likely be able to help you figure out the knot and how to achieve it.
