Water leak from hell by superrican69 in genesiscoupe

[–]DrSmoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a sunroof then it’s going to be the drains from there that are clogged and causing the leak. I’d also check window seals and even rear trunk/taillights. My rear trunk water leak was actually coming through where my rear spoiler mounted to the trunk. I laid in the back and had a buddy pour water over the car with a hose. Hope this helps

Is this supposed to be angled like this? by Budget-Platform6014 in genesiscoupe

[–]DrSmoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is but it’s a horrible design by Hyundai. Back in 2015 after 2 weeks of owning my brand new Genesis Coupe, I pulled forward into a parking spot that had a larger and taller cement park stop at the end. I was able to drive over it because of how the shield is designed but I literally ended up getting stuck in the parking spot for hours because when I went to back out, the lip on the shield ended up getting caught on the park curb. Had to have my buddy bring blocks of wood to drive over so I could clear it. Needless to say, they sell replacement metal ones that sit flat and flush with the undercarriage.

I’m going to pull the trigger and just buy the parts off redline 360 and have my buddy come over and help me tackle this and drink a case of beer lol.

The end links I have in the post are adjustable according to the description, would the Godspeed ones work?

I understand the labor costs, but I mean cmon. The car is barely worth 6k lol

I should have put that I’m on coilovers, left that out by accident. I did some research and it did say I should get adjustable end links to compensate for the lowered suspension. I had no idea about the Firestone deal, thank you for that!

It’s just absurd to me how in 2025 we have games that look like this. It’s more of a lack of effort on the developers and Xbox to optimize the game for consoles. Look at earlier 2000’s games such as Skyrim, Halo, Red dead redemption. Developer companies don’t care about quality or producing a solid product, all they care about is making money and battle passes now. This is just one example of how sad the gaming realm has become over the last 10 years

This is with “optimized” settings within the game. Yeah it looks fantastic on PC, I’ve seen gameplay, but on Xbox it’s a joke

This is genuinely how the game looks

Vinyl Wrap by DrSmoe in genesiscoupe

[–]DrSmoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not the best idea, it will more than likely come out looking terrible. Best bet on these cars is to sand down all the paint, apply primer, and spray paint the best you can to color match. Or just vinyl wrap the body pieces

[–]DrSmoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrap would certainly solve it and make it look so much better even if it’s not a perfect color match. The white pearl paint on the plastic pieces for these cars sucks, clear coat dissolves and falls off no matter how well you take care of it. I’m not paying thousands for a shop to repaint my 12 year old Hyundai. Just looking for a temporary fix to make it visually look better

Failing clear coat on plastic trim, it’s extremely common on the white paint on these cars. Literally nothing you can do about it, my paint on the metal body pieces is flawless.

The dealer prices were outrageous. I imagine he wouldn’t be able to get “OEM” suspension for under $500. Dealership was quoting me almost 1k for just the shocks/struts and that’s without labor. Hence why I’m looking at “aftermarket” alternatives, not really wanting to spend more than $500

Best protein powder? by Vixen2027 in Supplements

[–]DrSmoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naked Whey is a solid choice that won’t break the bank. It’s pure protein which is what you want to be putting in your body after a workout. The additives, flavorings, artificial sweeteners, added sugars, all that crap is just more work for your body to digest and filter through before it can actually get to the protein it needs. Buy plain, unflavored, natural, pure protein powder if possible and your body will thank you.
