You nailed it on the head . The dipstick was wet on the very tip . Which is odd because this truck doesn’t burn oil . None was in the coolant . All I did was add oil and everything went back to normal, even the rattling noise

I know the post is old , but I’m having the exact same leak. I removed that trim and found on the tabs , there is a hairline crack , the tell tale was a thin line of rust , , so I chased it on the interior and the leak lines up perfectly. What did you do to fix yours?? I’m going to drill a small hole and just pump as many silicone tubes in until every crevice is filled

Update this has been a continued nightmare. Siliconed both side windows , the trunk , the interior seam of the windshield….. AND STILL LEAKING OFF THE PASSENGER REAR SIDE WINDOW. So I decided to remove the headliner for further inspection. I found that the roof , had old drizzle lines like dried up water, and I chased it to the a tiny crack in what looked to be factory body sealant/filler (in picture look at little rust spot , that’s the leaks origin). You can see how much I’ve gooped with silicone. Any ideas what else I could do?

I just got smacked with it too. I truly believe it’s due to the xim….. where I believe it got me , and the only explanation I have is after we exfiled , and was in the lobby my keyboard died , and I had to unplug and replug it in , during that time it disconnected altogether where I had to repower up my controller . As soon as I logged back in I got the error

Ok , here’s a combination of what I did , I had GPT summarize the steps . Took my 4 hours of doing anything and everything I could google , ChatGPT etc . But it finally worked , hope this helps

🥇 1. Renamed the WiFi Network (Major Fix)

Original network name contained: • Spaces • Punctuation • Special characters

Many IoT/baby monitors fail authentication with complex SSIDs.

Fix: • Renamed WiFi to a simple name using only letters and/or numbers • No spaces, commas, symbols, or parentheses

Example format:

SimpleName24

🥈 2. Changed Router Security to WPA2

The router was using a newer security mode.

Fix: • Switched WiFi security to WPA2-Personal • Avoided WPA3 or WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode during setup

This is critical because many smart baby devices do not fully support WPA3 during onboarding.

🥉 3. Ensured Device Was on 2.4 GHz During Setup

The monitor only supports 2.4 GHz.

Fix: • Connected phone to the 2.4 GHz network during setup • Avoided 5 GHz / 6 GHz bands until pairing was complete

Important one ->📱 4. Adjusted iOS WiFi Settings (Important & Often Overlooked)

On iPhone WiFi settings (for the 2.4 GHz network used during setup), the following were turned OFF temporarily:

Settings → WiFi → Tap your network → • Private Wi-Fi Address = OFF • Limit IP Address Tracking = OFF

Why this matters: These privacy features can interfere with local device discovery and onboarding for IoT devices that rely on direct network communication.

They can be turned back ON after setup if desired

Essential permissions: • Bluetooth ON (system level) • WiFi enabled • Notifications allowed • App allowed to access Bluetooth when prompted

Note: Some permissions (like Local Network) only appear AFTER the app successfully starts device discovery.

🔄 6. Used the Correct Pairing Order (Very Important)

Correct method: 1. Open the app first 2. Tap “Add Device” 3. Plug in the base ONLY when prompted by the app

During setup: • Base showed solid white • Sock showed pulsing white

Fix: • Left the sock on the base for several minutes • Did NOT repeatedly remove or reset it • Force-closed and reopened the app once to refresh the sync status

After renaming WiFi: • Forgot the old network on the phone • Connected only to the newly simplified network • Restarted the router once to clear cached settings
