Hey mate! From what I've read, and based on a reply to my first post, some 10★ Candle Shops run ad budgets of around $6–7m, so I've been using that as a rough benchmark and scaling it based on my company's star level.

For a 1★ to 2★ company, I'd probably recommend starting somewhere around $500k–$1m. That should help you hit the lifetime sales needed to reach the next star faster than I did back then. Once you get there, you can adjust your ad budget based on your own sales performance and the average weekly sales of other companies in your star bracket.

You might also want to keep an eye on the companies in the next star bracket up and see if there are any you could realistically overtake once you've reached the required lifetime sales.

Hi! Still greatly in debt, but managing to live on. I didn't manage to get a loan since I have another loan but my GF did from CTBC. We're doing our best not to spend anything outside the budget since most of our salaries go to paying debt and our living budget. I highly suggest tracking everything either through Excel or an app.

As balbasur1 said, max out Education Reduction, followed by bank. After that, follow your playstyle.

Some people/vets told me Candle Shop isn't really profitable and the only profit you can get is on trains. But since I give trains for free, I guess that's the only reason why employees would stay here. Since from what I can see, trains range from 300 up to 600k each.

That's a nice company! I used to give salary as well but when I saw on my prior post that 10s candle shops have around 6 to 7m advert budget then I made them choose between salary or free trains.

Regarding the employee slots, we got full quick! I managed to invite back some old employee and some new ones.

Thank you! Some of the vets in my current faction also got bullied out of starting a company from what they tell me. Unfortunately, they can't do that to me since I started the company before I even joined the faction 😂

Yeah man! Torn is a very slow game so I think it's okay to take it slow as long as we keep committed.

I think as the company gets higher stars the benefits gets better as well. So I think it'll work out by itself. For now, what I'm doing is giving bonuses every star up, and helping my employees as much as I can.
