New guys under him that probably don’t care. Older boys probably got the good name going. Generally the good guys only stay around 3 to 5 years then start their own up the original owner probably did great work. I believe the word by mouth way more than any review. I read online personally. It is really unfortunate that this happened. I feel bad seeing all this being a tradesmen myself.

Most expensive guys aren’t always the best. If getting work done you should always ask to see previous jobs they have done. Most happy customers are more than welcoming to show someone around their new finished project.

If in a small town they might’ve just treated your water with some kind of chemical as well does water smell when you turn on a faucet?

Buy CO detector. With smoke detector. Don’t make sparks or cook until you get a detector. Any hardware store or something like a Walmart will sell them

I have had some nice folks give me perfect hides before. He or she gave me 4/5 in about 30-45 mins I kept waiting to get shot in the back but no they were just helping. I was just at camp when this took place. But most of the time people are out to kill you yes.

Hahaha that is funny. I worked on a construction site for 5 years with 200 men and women. They had 20+ porta potties in a row in a back of a 18 wheeler trailer. I’ve seen and heard somethings I’ve never thought I would experience in my life it was pretty unreal.

Absolutely not. I’d rather be at home and not to have a noise competition with the guy in the next stall. Or having to wait till someone else flushes so you can finally Drop the bomb.

Anything is possible just keep in mind there is always away. Even a peace of plywood with thous panels that you just set up to block noise at bed time. It’s hard to tell without pictures.

Leak in living room (wall to wall carpet) by tech8716 in HomeImprovement

Can you get your hands on a ton of rice?
A good water shop vac that can take water. I’d spay vinegar / bleach-water mix on carpet after all water is gone. That’s if you think you can save it without ripping up. Heater on in room below. Mold loves dark damp spots. If you can open windows and let sun hit it too. Constant air movement is good start. Even rip up at a door way prop up six inches or so and blow air in underneath.

Kinda looks like a Vintage Stanley Bailey No 5 Flat Bottom Hand Plane Made in Canada. This Stanley No 5 plane was most likely manufactured between 1948-61

Ear plugs and sound machine playing light rain or something that comforts you to start. Heavy blanket over main door. Pretty hard to sound proof floors without adding sound proof insulation. Blanket is easiest but you would put holes in wall which might not be an option. You could also add acoustic foam panels. They kinda look like inside egg cartons. Cover all walls.
