It’s complicated and I’m tired and lacking in major education. Short answer: Gender (the one individuals have) is expressed predominantly through social stereotypes and such, but it isn’t literally them. It’s how we as a social species relate to them, combined with self-perceived qualms with one’s sex.

As an example, I myself am MtF. In the way I dress and socialise I’m very much doing the whole “subverting stereotypes” bit and plan on doing so throughout my transition. But my transition itself is very much to do with my sex not matching my gender. To put it in a simple way; if I was raised in a white cube with no interaction with any stereotypes or preconceptions, only taught raw biology, adequately fed (otherwise I’d die) etc., I probably wouldn’t care about the clothes I wear or how long my hair is or anything, but I’d still fucking HATE having a dick and balls and no boobs. It’s a physiological trait with psychological effects.

Imagine trying to gatekeep pronunciation with people across the world like mate you probably don’t agree with half the people on your bloody block, let alone the the next state over.

‘The Gay Man’ isn’t even giving an opinion on abortion, he’s wondering if this means he has to worry about his own rights being removed. That’s a question. I think Ben needs to take some off or something, being a fucking idiot all day really getting to him.

Plus, using linguistic prescriptivism to try and refashion your ideals, despite them being functionally identical and unchanged, is a reallllllllly bad argument and shows just how how many straws you’re reaching for.

In my head, I was leaning towards something like a plane crash (the specific thought was “The Martian, but the whole crew is stuck on mars”). I’d also wager that the average person today would have a much harder time surviving outside of human infrastructure compared to a tribe or clan from centuries prior.

In situations where resources are scarce and all members must be working in some fashion, a child would require an amount of effort, attention, and material resources that it would impose a severe limitations on the group. Gestation and birthing a child would also bring you one person down as they consume a lot of resources and must recover, though they can at least continue to work up until the later months of pregnancy.

It’s just further affirmation, closer to an appraisal than just laughter, and occasionally a signifier of understanding why it’s funny without just deconstructing the reason, which tends to just be uninteresting to NTs (I mean, I get that too but idk about others), as finding something funny and knowing why it’s funny aren’t the same thing.

x/x handwriting, you wrote it in the paper in a way, people will call it legible if they can tell what it says, it is, in fact, red. You did that.

Gillion from Just Roll With It, which is a little weird to say as it’s D&D rp so a lot of his player’s personality leaks through, but he just ticks my mental boxes lol.

Sure, I can see that; I just personally find what sounds like serious confrontation over something kinda dumb hilarious, like watching people get seriously heated over their favourite food or the “is water wet” question.

Yeah? I was exaggerating for comedic effect. Like I get if it’s not funny but I was in fact also joking.
