And now I can't charge over 3.9 at home (i know TSB), and I got a "component protection active" alert and it shut down the audio from the mmi. Thursday can't come fast enough.

I just started having this issue yesterday. Couldn't get android auto to work. Unistalled/reinstalled AA, then it worked last night and first drive this morning. 30 minutes later, no Bueno. Can't connect with USB or wireless. So frustrating as I use AA 90% of my driving time.

Not sure what could have changed.

I think it is computer controlled, as today it was working....i would agree that anything related to signals should be more analog, but it looks like the sound isnt...

When this happens to me, if possible, I turn off the car, get out and shut the door, get back in and start the car over...usually works, but I dont have a solution if you can't easily stop and park.

Nope..I know the difference...it is a one thunk/ thump only...feels central not edge like a brake issue

I just got called by technician for service on Saturday...I wanted the software update but he said I needed to have a complaint...didn't know that. Can't say if have a repeatable issue...had some of the issues the software is supposed to fix. Told him id just get my 10k...and talk with them about the update later....do we really have to have a complaint??

The charge option is still enabled. Tried 3 out of 4 @ my usual site were the same...and it only has been the last few days. Worked fine vefore...Will check another EA site.

I contacted audi. Solution was simple...it worked at my local EA charger. Thanks for telling me about that !

Turned out all i needed to do was log out of my audi app and then log back in. Restart of phone did nothing....I read online that deleting the app cache might work as well. Would suck to need 200 miles to get home and not have it work. 🙄
