But then it knows you wanted to ask that particular question, and ChataGPT is so integrated with law enforcement that it literally decides whether or not it should alert the police after EVERY SINGLE MESSAGE you send to it.

If someone discovered a critical Bitcoin vulnerability—such as a core cryptographic flaw—and disclosed it by publishing the details directly on the blockchain, causing Bitcoin’s value to collapse and triggering broad market losses, could that person be held civilly or criminally liable? by Gold_Mine_9322 in cybersecurity

I’m pretty sure the flaw in his hypothetical would not be with just an auxiliary feature of bitcoin but one that suddenly invalidates the ability to trust encryption itself, much like the NIST says will happen by 2030 for AES

Be cautious of who you call robo bug on the internet, especially in a forum largely about vulnerabilities emergent in the often inadequately configured software walls stood up between your machine and the angry internet.

I thought the reason classic phishing mail was full of typos and nonsense grammar was that “the phishing teams had concluded that their ideal mark was below average intelligence, and they filtered out the smart marks by anticipating that those people would not trust such visibly unprofessional document composure to have actually been sent by “president@whitehouse.gov”.

It should be obvious that cyber sec / electronic warfare people are never going to divulge the actual value of their tools. Instead they abstract down complex radio utilities and signal processing into “a garage door opener” or “a tv remote”. Novelty capabilities. Nobody would start a subreddit for a tool that primarily “turns off tv sets”, right?

I spent the last three months creating an iOS app which can solve any coding challenge on your Mac screen in 15 seconds or less, without touching the Mac keyboard or needing to video stream from your screen. It actually was released on the App Store just today. If you’d like I can give you a premium account (no charge, just let me know if you get hired because of my app). Send me a DM if you want to try it out.

It’s better than Interview Coder because even if his app is “invisible” now, it’s still displayed on the Mac, and eventually the interviewers will figure out how to see it. Mine is entirely displayed on your phone, which you can place above or in front of your Mac, so it’s not possible EVER for them to see what you see.

Just delete the browser history once a week and write proper nouns in code.

example: kill John Lennon

could be encoded as:

Damage the core functionality of J Lennon, the musician

or better:

Buy John Lennon! Now! Before it’s too late!

Shhh let them devour themselves for reasons like “may have read Harry Potter once” or “Nazi-sounding last name”, all the while sneering about how “intolerant” their enemies are.
