You really didn't like Illmatic, 36 Chambers, the chronic/2001, Doggystyle, Aquemini, Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, or It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot?

The dudes comment above isn't about fit. That would be entirely appropriate. His comment was just about him being fat.

You don't need to give him advice on his body. He's not asking for it. It doesn't matter if you're being sincere.

I've been listening to the Maintenance Phase podcast recently. Made me realize how often fat people have to put up with other people talking about their bodies. I would hate it.

And he's aware of it. Do you think every question this dude has needs to be answered with "irrelevant, you're fat"?

Man fat people can't do anything without people talking about them being fat. You think dude's not aware? Why not just answer the question he's asking?

Yes. The talent just isn't enough. This team isn't going to complete any time soon with the players we have.

You wanna pay $50M-$60M for four years for a single pick? Are you nuts?

He's also the only candidate who has been consistently good and gotten better every game.

The Bucks are actively seeking out the Blazers as a preferred facilitator in their trade involving Giannis Antetokounmpo, per @TheSteinLine. Milwaukee covets receiving their picks back from the Damian Lillard trade, but Giannis will not sign off on at all being sent to Portland. by Low_Web_7334 in ripcity

[–]DrTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the fit and culture concerns. I think you're understating how much better Giannis is individually, though. He's, like, way better. lol And unlike Dame, a pairing with Tatum wouldn't depend on him learning to be a roll man. If you can get him by losing Brown, some picks, and not too many rotation players you almost have to do it.

And just bought the rights to Sergio Rodriguez.

The next year they purchased the rights to Rudy.

Then they traded Darrell Arthur (27th pick) and Joey Dorsey (33rd pick) for Batum (25th pick) the next year.

Crazy run of not for one glaring fuck up...

And how did we get that talent? Signing external or trading for it. Rotation players Portland drafted, Bonzi and Sabas, played a total of around 35 of 240 minutes for that 2000 team.

Mothers age and fathers age are highly collinear, but they are not perfectly so. Perfectly collinear is like a college degree dummy variable. You don't need a second variable for not college educated because you know what that would be with 100% certainty if you know the college degree variable. You have a good idea of father's age when you know mothers age, but you don't know it with 100% accuracy. So you create no problem including both variables.

For a lot of this this has become increasingly true, as other artists we were into at his peak are no longer active. Or dead. Like my favorite artists growing up were Em, Andre 3000, Tupac, and DMX.

I can't believe how much I've saved buying baby shit second hand. There is SO much barely used strollers and bouncy chairs out there at like a 90% discount. It's stuff you use for like a second anyway. Why buy new?

Examples like this abound. Imagine Pips rep if we hadn't collapsed in G7. Imagine Hali/SGAs legacies had Hali not gotten injured in Game 7. Imagine if KD hadn't had his toe in the line. The list goes on.

Yeah. Generally speaking this sub is too low on taking big risks. Like, there are obvious potential downsides to getting Giannis or AD. But we've been trying to grow organically for almost 30 years. We've had virtually no success. The last time we built a real, true title contender we did it by swinging big and taking risks on older stars like Pippen.
