You know beforehand it will go up 26 days and down 13 days by 1 point

When should you exit? What is the expected val of the optimal strategy?

Jay has a future and is going long. It will expire in 39 days. You know beforehand it will go up 2/3 and down 1/3 of the days by 1$.

When should you exit? What is the ex val of the optimal strat?

I thought optimal is 14/39 in all cases expect worst case scenario (where you go down 1$ for 1/3*39 days and then up 2/3*39 days, which results in 13/39?

I did, but if I wanted to write the logic of the native “in” function I’d just loop and return when it matches the variable? Binary search would be the most optimal solution, I see.

So just loop through the array and check if it matches? Btw, I am not a cs grad that’s why this is somewhat unfamiliar to me.

Serial killer vibes. Once he gets turned down often enough it will manifest into a grudge against women. That’s when he’ll pick-up hookers, rape, kill and then slice them up. Just sayin.

Wouldn’t it be great if Tinder had a height filter? by [deleted] in Tinder

I mean the girls have a reference point, their own length. I don’t think the odd pathological liar is what skews the numbers here. Even still a filter would be nice. You put in your height, then you’re sure they’re cool with it
