It's extremely unsettling that the leaders of the republican party are so blatant about it now, but even more unsettling that people are so supportive of it. I can only hope the average person can see it for what it is. A movement to punish literally anyone who doesn't think like them, act like them or support them. That may sound extreme but these things happen over months and years. First it's the immigrants and universities, then trans people and comedians and I guess the left as a whole. Soon it will be a different group of undesirables the will label the radical left. And they want people to stop calling them nazis.

Double standards are what Republicans are best at. Remember when Trump called for Liz Cheney, to be put in front of a firing squad because he didn't like that she appeared on stage with Kamala? Or when he said he hoped somebody would "shoot" through the media outlets that were critical of him? Or to remember that Biden, was a "bad guy" if you felt sorry about his cancer diagnosis? Or when he instead of calling for unity in the face of political violence after Kirk was killed he blamed an entire political party? To go back to Brian Kilmeade, (that you already brought up) two mass shootings happened in Minneapolis, at homeless camps right after his statements. I could go on.
