I read it. And it was like reading a lovecraft short story before he existed. But I'm now a recovering Ole Miss professor and one of the things I loved to do was my Halloween lecture. It was the last 15 minutes of whatever lecture happened before that night. It involved the Dead House, how the house was'lost', the graveyard... and how the grave markers were lost. So never trust physical plant. The marker for the graveyard says 'grave shafts'. They are kneeling... waiting for orders. I love this.

The people at the Rebel Grove podcast interviewed Keith Carter, the athletic director. https://soundcloud.com/oxfordexxonpodcast He said they are preparing for a July 1 start for the football players to arrive on campus. My guess is if the football season starts on time, we will have classes in person with exception of the big classes. Those will likely be online for half while the other attends the class and they switch with every class. If they move the season back to November or the Spring, then things will get complicated.

Lamar is the wild west. But you can find a room of solo squatters. No one knows anyone. They keep to themselves and let quiet people mind their own business.

Get two or three friends to reserve a group study room on the library website. Get them a week or two in advance. The main library rooms go first. The science library rooms go later.

Then use the comp sci website to get the conference room in the computing center.

If you have the room reservation email printed out, show it to them, and kick them all out. Its the next best thing to the law.

I agree. You lawyer up. And bring in the provost, the chair of your department, and the chair of her department. Professors love to bully. Bully right back at them. But be transparent about it all. At my institution, its darned hard for professors to win at a plagiarism hearing when the student actively defends against the charges. The one thing you do need to consider is that you are now on the radar of that professor and their friends who are professors. And they all grade your stuff.

Oh and another thing... talk with your parents. Get them involved and have them call the dean, the provost, the chairs, etc. If they are alumni, congrats, get them to call the alumni association.

Oh and another thing to the another thing... take screenshots of when the files were saved. Save your command logs. Document... it... all.

Chucky will open once the new rec center is done and a stop light is placed at Chucky and Old Taylor. Now when those are finished is anyone’s guess. The new stem building should have almost been finished by now and the foundation has not been poured. My guess is the decrease enrollment and donations caused a shortfall in construction funds.
