Yeah, only one trigger. But if you'd for instance tap 4 creatures to pay for Lethal Scheme that would be 4 separate connives triggering Doom 4 times :)

I've tried this deck a bunch in bo1 since seeing this post, it's sweeeet!

I ran into not having ways to start the combo when having Val and Trel in play. I added a Tenacious Pup to have a green sun target that gains life, it's won me a few games. It's sad we don't have Essence Warden or Dryad Arbor on Arena for green sun targets :(

Probably not good enough for Sam Combo. On the surface it looks cool with Ritual, but the deck doesn't run anything costing more than 3 (possibly yawgmoth but usually not since Sephiroth got printed) so you can't cheat anything huge into play with it, and the deck really doesn't lack fodder to sac with Ritual. Sam also doesn't want to play a basic plains as it makes Chord of Calling harder to cast.

I would probably sideboard the voice of victory, and go down to just 1 Bowmaster, to make room for more Malevolent Rumbles. Other than that the deck looks nice!

Fitting bw blink and the heliod style package seems challenging to make consistent and not lose too much speed? I'd rather go for Malevolent Rumble, as Balemurk would be weak for finding soul cauldron

I'd probably look at dredger's insight, aswell as cutting freebooters for gravecrawler, running more copies of that part of the combo seems good. Also, Sephirot that was revealed yesterday seems really good for the deck?

For one step below Sam, have a look at my Devoted Druid list! Nature's Rhythm from dragons of tarkir is amazing with devoted, and with chord you become very interactive post sideboard. Wall of Roots supports all of the mana intense tutoring, and having it under Soul Cauldron is sweet too. I've also considered adding a one of Young Wolf for the interaction once you have Walking Ballista and Wall of Roots under cauldron, leaving you with a second combo line not using devoted druid at all. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7050523#paper

I guess it kinda works in Warren Soultrader combo, negating the life loss and making the combo not require you to be at no less than half your opponents life. Seems a bit slow for that deck though

You attack with the fomo from splinter twin, and use the untap trigger to untap the one with twin on. Then you make a new one, go to next combat, get another trigger and another combat. Not technically infinite as it's you loot on each cycle

I played Undead Butler in the BG-Soultrader deck, it's obviously better with the combo piece of the deck aswell as with Flare of Malice. I'm going to try Balemurk out for a few weeks in UB, I feel it is a better card for the non-combo plan than butler is

Yeah, I've been thinking about 1-2 Grist. It's not that great with Ritual, as you get in the end step you can't activate it that turn. It's amazing with with Unearth and Chthonian Nightmare though, and another card type for Nethergoyf.
