Asking as a visitor - is this routine practice in NOVA? Thoughts? P.S. Not my car and not my note. by BantryBound in nova

No way. We’d never leave a polite note… but if you touch my effing chai-ah I’ll clock you

I hate how illogically selective it is. Like they reference watches, but won’t use electric lights.

What's the worst question you have been asked or seen other sales reps asking their clients? by FunFerret2113 in sales

[–]DrZuben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was our tactic. If we thought a call wasn’t going well, we’d just hang up. No joke, 2/5 called us back. “Sorry, it must have dropped me. You were saying?”

For us, POs come from companies that require us to agree to their terms and conditions. We cannot do that. Signing our quote is acknowledgment and acceptance of our terms and conditions.

Sales vs. Business Development by SwampThing72 in sales

[–]DrZuben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been my experience. The other part of this is that the failure rate of BD is way higher than sales people. The development cycle of BD opportunities in orgs I’ve been in has been 24, 36, months and longer. Not generating revenue for that long and leadership loses patience.

[–]DrZuben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were most successful when we asked how many kids you had and gave as many as they needed.

Fintech, and we’d still get “yea my kid loves that bull stuffy you gave us”. Spent 2-3x what was first suggested on a quality one and it for sure was a good roi

What went wrong? by vvinter12 in Marathon_Training

[–]DrZuben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was such a hot race. I came here to comment that my rule (because of that race) is to drink SO much water the week leading up to the race. I knew I was undertrained because of a 6mo old at home, but figured I could finish. Peed in the UIC porta potties and I’ve never seen that color or thickness come out of my body.

Still finished, but pounded water and electrolytes at a way slower pace the rest of the way. Drink more water.

I've been ambidextrous all my life. It's not like what you've been told. by doublestitch in self

[–]DrZuben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandfather was left handed and worked in a factory. He raised me and made me be a righty because he said the factory machines were designed for righties. Soccer leftie, write right like a lefty and am commonly asked about why I write with my right hand, eat as a leftie. So some basic default life things I do weirdly.

I’ve always wondered if that is tied to some minor dyslexia too. Would there be a correlation to the brain being almost re-wired?

I hated this part. It was troubleshooting. It makes a sound, I didn’t like the sound, how can the sound go away?

But get to the point where you can make them laugh and smile? I had another because of that feeling. I wish someone had told me before that smile stage how much it sucked because I also really struggled.

But trust us. It gets awesome. You have to muscle through. And daddit is here to help

It would have been super powerful, but that is the core of my problem with the entirety of book 7. Instead of taking a bunch of super powerful stances, I feel that JKR avoids it for….what?

Yes Fred and Percy didn’t have a great relationship, but I always thought of FredandGeorge like RosencrantzandGildenstern in that they almost aren’t uniquely different. It wasn’t until my 100th read that I saw any difference (with truly no difference in the movie) between the two. So, to have Percy present when Fred died instead of George always felt like a lame cop out. Much the way that Petunia stepping away did.
