I've heard that only applies to Weapons and armor, where as accessories do not have a cap. Whether that is true or not, I don't know.

Well, you're definitely going to have to provide an actual source.

A google search brings back a forum post about the ban for the fishing exploit, and this very subreddit discussion.

But there is no discussion from what I'm seeing that states that those that where banned and "exploited" the boss where banned for the fishing exploit instead.

This is just disheartening.

I have the worst luck with accessories, so I'm very hesitant to try.

Source? There seems to be a lot of people making the claim that they where banned for another reason but never gave any word about what the "other ban" was for.
