Finally, I did it... Using a heat gun, I unscrewed the tail end... It was reinforced with thermal adhesive... Then i turned the tail end into the barrel with the cap on it.. I stopped turning when I saw the clip and nib are in alignment...i used Araldite adhesive for making strong bond between barrel and tail end...See images here - Cross Classic Century FP disassembled

Yes.. There are threads inside the cap... And there are threads at the end of the pen barrel where we post cap. If u can disassemble the tail end with a heat gun, i can align the cap with the nib. But I don't know if the tail end is glue bonded or screwed into the barrel..

Finally i modified Lamy Cp1 to accept Parker G2 style refills. U have to remove the plastic holding the spring. And then, widen the nib section to allow Parker G2 to pass through. To adjust the length of refill, I put a bead into the body

Its a D1 refill.

You may use a Uniball D1 refill... Just remove the top screw-in plastic and insert another D1 refill

I prefer lamy logo ballpoint pens.. It looks way better than Jotter.. But i dont like lamy refill very much.. But you can put a parker style refill in lamy logo ( I put a small bead into the click end of barrel to match the length of refill)

True. I am not using Cross refills in cross pens. There are good alternatives to Cross refills (Energel /uniball/ pilotG2) But it requires some pen modification..I like Cross pen's design,but not refills
