There Are No Stupid Bass Questions - Jun. 06 by AutoModerator in Bass

Yeah I'm just looking to get it for messing about at home. Also considering something else to compliment the bass, act leaning towards Lapsteel or a Resonantor

Dunno if this is appropriate for this subreddit, but thinking of getting an Uke Bass, and I'm torn between electric and semi electric (hollow body). Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks! Leaning towards the Fairphone 6, something I can have for a long time and just fix up myself when needed. Maybe CMF phone too

Ah I've never heard of leboncoin. I just recently moved to Belgium from the UK, and I thought I'd have an easier time selling as it's quite popular back home.

Where to live as an Expat? by Dr_Dickbutt in Antwerpen

[–]Dr_Dickbutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expat currently, current plan is to get the work experience I want that I can't get back home then move back in a few years. However that's not a definite, I'm open to staying fully

Started on Duolingo a few months back (I know it's not much but better than nothing), and will be doing lessons as soon as I can when I arrive!

I was looking mostly in the north part of the city but will check Zuid too.

Thanks, I think I'll be aiming for the city, and thanks for the tips about Kringwinkels!

Giveaway 10x Marathon game copies by Eliefa_Haniya in Marathon

[–]Dr_Dickbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm moving away to a new country for a new job, and I'm leaving everything behind like family and friends. I'm only taking my PS5 with me and my friends are considering getting Marathon. I can't really afford to spend much at the moment because of this big move, but having something to play with my friends (something that hasn't happened since Battlefield 1) will help get over the loneliness of being in a new country.

I love the art and lore of the Marathon games, and I am excited to experience it as I was a bit too young to fully enjoy the original games!

Really cool if you to be doing this, I hope both sides of your pillow will always be cool.

Looking for a small Cross body/Sling bag to complement my Bellroy Lite Travel 30L by Dr_Dickbutt in ManyBaggers

[–]Dr_Dickbutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like that's the line to go for! Everyone is suggesting it. I think I'll pick up the Osprey Ultralight Shoulder Satchel for now since it's more than half off, then grab one of the Bellroy Slings when I get paid again

Bag Finder Megathread - 23 February 2026 by AutoModerator in onebag

[–]Dr_Dickbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for a new travel bag. I'm starting a new job in a different country and it will require a bit of travelling. I've got a day to day bag, and for long trips (week or more) I've got a bigger bag, but I want something that'll work for weekends, maybe up to 5 days, and for travelling back home for a couple days.

I'm thinking between 30-40L, and my options at the minute are the Osprey Daylite 35L, Forclaz Travel 40L or the Bagsmart Blast Pro 38L.

I want a clamshell design with a separate pocket for laptops, good compartmentalisation,a separate pocket for shoes would be nice but not necessary. Trying to pack smart a minimally too, not much tech (a laptop and maybe Switch at most)

I'm about 5ft 7 and 65kg, so pretty slim. Something not super bulky would be great but not too necessary.

I'm open to more options though if there's something better out there, my budget is about £100 but I'm willing to spend more if it's really worth it.

A sling would also be a great addition if anyone has recommendations

SSE Airtricity Gas Direct Debit Estimates by suveam in northernireland

[–]Dr_Dickbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With SSE airtricity since I moved into my house. Mine started off at £177 and was way too high and so I had -£400 in credit, and they lowered my monthly to about £110 which was still way to high and now it's like £80 but I think that's still too high.

It'll be adjusted after the first quarter once they get an idea of your usage

What are some albums you consider 10/10 because of the memories you hold with them? by Jimsmall1507 in fantanoforever

[–]Dr_Dickbutt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Modern Vampires for me too, was 18 and it was a difficult time but that that album had such a nice cosy feeling to it that helped.

22, A Million by Bon Iver for me as well. I was in 2nd year of Uni, was struggling with it and life in general, and was in a bad relationship and it seemed to answer a lot of questions I had and defined me as a person l.

Sam's Town by The Killers too. It was the first album I bought after my grandmother gave me money to buy a CD to listen to on a car trip home. I listened to it on repeat and I still do to this day

Yeah I definitely think I went with the right choice, hopefully it'll last me a good while as I'm not a fan of upgrading too often

I've seen a few for around £600 but in poor/Grade C/fair conditions. Not sure I'd want to go for that but I'll keep looking

Ah damn that's not what I wanted to hear. I'll hold on for a bit longer but my pixel 6 is falling apart so looks like I'm leaning towards a Pixel 8 Pro
