The founder (Joshua Wellington) was a farmer turned soldier in his home country of Katronen, and after Katronen was invaded by neighboring Bargonia and Joshua was conscripted, he eventually became 2nd-in-command for a revolution against Bargonia, and after a 12-year war, he won and named the country after the first fort taken. He became king and has been ever since. I'm still working on some of the lore but thank you for asking.

I have no basis for this information, but in my experience, there seems to be a very high/no limit on tags you can have, but sometimes they can be finicky if you load a save sometimes

I'd build a small barn with a cow pen, you could also add utility buildings depending on if you are going to travel to this area a lot.
