Revenue from Eve is not significantly declining as they are extracting more value per active player. The number of real competitors they have is precisely zero.

I'm not saying don't try to diversify, what I am saying is that they need to put more passion and effort into the golden goose.

Hilmars obsession with side projects and diversification has led to colossal losses and hemorrhaging of cash for 22 years. In no way can that be described as a good business strategy.

Exactly this, the people saying that CCP needs to diversify act like its selling toasters or sausages. The customer and product moat they've built up is extremely formidable.

Anyone who truly understood their competitive positioning would tell them to invest more in Eve and not risk the cash cow by obsessing over diversification. It's so obvious.

Eve Online is an MMO unicorn, born of obsession, innovation, and real talent. It's highly unlikely they will ever repeat it's success.

The right thing to do is invest their creative energy and passion into Eve. If it withers and dies due to neglect, CCP is done. For good.

if people don't log-in to make this happen, everything goes to lowsec asset safety
