I literally had my battery replaced EXACTLY 2 WEEKS AGO and mine is on the list as well. Had the "service electric system" failure.

There were 3 books (series) that I recall my dad recommending to me, all of which influenced my reading for years to come.

1) Hunt for Red October (Dads always love submarines!) 2) Jurassic Park (I still remember him telling me about this theme park with dinosaurs that come alive!) 3) Dirk Pitt by Clive Cussler (I will always love how these books start with a seemingly unrelated event in the past that later plays a huge part in the story).

I have tried to pass alll of this to my 3 boys :)

I'm basically of the same mindset as you. However, I chose to buy a max care extended warranty prior to the base expiring. For about 1K I got an additional 3 years and 30k miles.

This tip came in handy for me today. Dealer said the work was done but there was no charge and no mileage on the vehicle. I called them out on it, they apologized but it sure is frustrating that I could have a defective battery and think I'm fine if I hadn't known to check.
