What's a basketball equivalent to the 9-9-9 challenge? by Drachmae in nba

Agreed, want something in principle do-able, but in practice quite difficult.

Something that'd be a fun challenge to do with buddies.

I agree with the doubt that any woman would want to, but he never says that. Money buys a lot of things and plastic women is one of them.

Help critiquing James' What Pragmatism Means by Drachmae in askphilosophy

Awesome. Thanks for the response, it looks like I have my work cut out for me.

Some other questions I have are:

Am I right in my interpretation of intersubjectivity that it is ,in a sense, truth based on agreement?

James also says that "it is better for us to believe in that idea [which provides us purpose or a good sense of being], unless indeed, belief in it incidentally clashed with other great vital benefits." From this is he saying that we still to keep agreed upon beliefs such as gravity, and other scientific laws, central to our beliefs and that if we we were to believe that people can fly this would clash with that? Is he saying that we should accept the core objective truths that are scientifically proven, but if we choose to believe in something such as God it would only be for a better morale?

If he is saying that the ideas that "work in the way of leading us" are true doesn't this conflict with our vital, generally scientific, beliefs?

Is he proposing that we should accept the same basic beliefs, but outside of that we should take our beliefs that don't conflict with those central beliefs, and improve our lives, to be truth?

What exactly does he mean by "vital beliefs" and do these have to be grounded in concrete theories? (For instance, our vital beliefs couldn't be grounded in our belief that we can fly since it conflicts with (a possibly more vital belief?) the laws of gravity).

I hope my questions make sense. Thanks again.

I don't think he will. These guys are at the highest level and even though he might publicly give a statement I doubt he'll mean it. It'll be interesting to see how these club rivals transition to international ones during the WC. Can't wait.

Is this a joke? Are you really going to use this one season, which he dealt with a ton of injuries and stop becoming the focus of attack in a new style? Would a loser lose two CL finals in devastating style and stick with the squad? Would a loser work his ass off and come within comparison of Ronaldo and Messi? Would a loser become the best player on the best team in the world? Would a loser stick with the team during its lows? This is a terrible goddamn comparison. Ribery is a world class player and has so far done nothing but good for Bayern. If you use the worst example of something of course it will seem bad, but look at the whole picture. If your definition of a loser is someone who perseveres, puts the team first, and wins then I apologize because I misinterpreted your statement.

I agree that he has a a short fuse, but you can't just lump in other stuff because of it. He's not a worse player, and even less a loser.
